Simply Succulent Birthday Card

 Simply Succulent Birthday Card

This is one of the projects we made at our latest Card Club. We used the Simply Succulent Bundle to create this beautiful card!

Directions:
Cut a piece of Thick Basic White Card Stock to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".

Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White C/S and using a Blending Brush, add Coastal Cabana Ink to this panel.

Die cut the large succulent panel using Brushed Metallic Card Stock. Attach it to the Coastal Cabana inked panel using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. Attach them to the card base.

Stamp the succulent plant onto Basic White C/S using Memento Black Ink. Color in using Stampin Blends. I played around with different Stampin' Blends colours for the succulents. On one card I used Parakeet Party and Fresh Freesia Stampin Blends and on the second card I used Granny Apple Green and Fresh Freesia Stampin Blends. I like the lighter one which is the Parakeet Party. Once you have finished colouring it, die cut it out and attach it to the card using Dimensionals. Splatter with some Wink Of Stella.

Add some loops of black thread or Simply Elegant Trim onto the succulent.

Die cut a Basic White C/S tag and stamp a sentiment in Memento Black Ink. Attach to the card front using Dimensionals.

Die cut some Basic Black C/S flowers and a sprig. Attach to the succulent die cut tucking them just under the tag.

Add a few Metallic Pearls, Opal Rounds, Pearls or Rhinestones to finish off the card.

I like to leave tiny bits of white space when I use Stampin Blends on flowers. I think it looks more realistic. I also added a tiny bit of the Light Fresh Freesia Stampin Blends to the tips of some of the succulent flowers on the Parakeet Party sample.

For the inside I stamped the small succulent flower, colored it with Stampin Blends and I added a sentiment stamped in Coastal Cabana Ink.

Happy Stamping and Creating!

A Trio Of Trees

 A Trio Of Trees

This was one of the cards we made at my monthly Card Club. We are a group of stampers that get together once a month to make cards, learn techniques and different folds, and have lots of laughs!!

I used the Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper that was a recent Sale-A-Bration offering, but any DSP would be just as beautiful!

This card is a Z-fold, it's a super easy fun fold.

Cut your card base to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4" and 2 1/8". The second score line folds back onto itself to create this fun fold. Add your DSP then a 2 3/4" x 4" card stock front panel, attached only at the left side.

I added 3 mini Brushed Metallic Card Stock trees from the Christmas Tree Dies and a cute double Gold Cord bow.

Christmas Treat Boxes

Christmas Treat Boxes

I have been having so much fun making these treat boxes! When I was assembling one of the boxes the other day I had a revaluation. If you don't tuck in the side flaps but instead use a glue dot and let the sides flare out you get a totally different shaped and sized box!!! Who knew!!

Here are some photos to show you what I came up with.

Isn't that cool!!

Here are my creations!!!

I have fit a roll of Lifesavers, Excel Mints and a regular sized box of Tic-Tac's in these boxes. You could also fit money, lotto tickets, chocolates, gift cards, hand sanitizer, small ornament, lip chap, jewelry and so much more!!

Think of all the possibilities! Use different card Stocks, Designer Series Papers, embellishments, Ribbons!

Happy Stamping and Creating!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends. Stay safe everyone.
