Yellow Roses

Yellow Roses

I just love the beauty of the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series paper! The yellow roses look like a water coloured painting!

I designed this card for the sketch challenge this week for Freshly Made Sketches.

The card base is 4 1/4" X 11 and scored at 5 1/2".
The Designer Series Paper is cut at 2 1/4" X 5 and I glued it onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock measuring the same. Emboss this panel using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder. Then glue it to a piece of Basic Black C/S measuring 2 1/2" X 5 1/4". Attach to card front. Punch out a 2 1/4" circle from Basic Black C/S and a 2" circle from Whisper White C/S. Using the floral image from Tasteful Touches Stamp Set, ink it up with Bumblebee Ink, stamp off once onto scrap paper then onto the Whisper White circle, repeat again to fill up the circle. This is called "second generation" stamping. If you want a  "bold" look then stamp ink full strength. Attach Whisper White circle to Basic Black circle. Attach to card with Dimensionals (only on the right hand side). Stamp sentiment onto a strip of Whisper White C/S and attach to a slightly larger piece of Basic Black C/S. Add some Gold Thread from the Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo to the back of the sentiment strip, then attach to circles.

Petal Pink Casual and Formal Cards

Petal Pink Casual and Formal

By making a few changes you can take a card from simple to stepped up!

Here is my simple version:

The card base is Petal Pink, cut at 11" X 4 1/4" and scored at 5 1/2".
Using Petal Pink Ink stamp the greenery from Forever Fern Stamp Set onto the left hand side of the card front.
Tie the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around the card and tie a bow on the right side.
Die cut a label from the Tasteful Labels Die Set in Whisper White and stamp the sentiment using Basic Grey Ink and stamp some greenery in Petal Pink Ink. Attach to card using Dimensional.

Here is my stepped up card:

The card base is Petal Pink 11" X 4 1/4" and scored at 5 1/2".
Add a 4" X 5 1/4" layer of Whisper White Card Stock that is embossed using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder, attach to card front.
Cut a layer of Petal Pink C/S 3 1/2" X 4 3/4 and stamp some greenery from the Forever Fern Stamp Set using Petal Pink Ink.
Die cut a label from Whisper White C/S using the Detailed Bands  Die Set. Stamp the sentiment on the smaller inside label using Basic Grey Ink.
Add some Gold Thread to the Petal Pink Layer and using Dimensional attach the labels over top. Attach the Petal Pink Layer to the embossed layer using Dimensional.
Add some Metallic Gold Pearls and splatters with Wink Of Stella.

Wishing You Much Happiness

Wishing You Much Happiness!

Here is my card for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.

My favorite colour is Purple, so I just had to make it part of my colour palette for todays card!!

My card base is Thick Whisper White Card Stock cut to 4 1/4" X 11" and scored at 5 1/2"
I stamped three different pieces of greenery from the Forever Fern Stamp Set using Pretty Peacock, Gorgeous Grape and Purple Posy. If you don't have Purple Posy, ink the stamp with Gorgeous Grape, stamp off once onto scrap paper then onto the card for a lighter shade. Sadly Purple Posy had quality issues that Stampin' Up! was unable to resolve.
Die cut the label in Whisper White C/S using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock Ink.
Die cut some greenery from Forever Flourishing Dies in Silver Foil. I cut my pieces of greenery apart for a more subtle look.
Attach the label using Dimensional, tuck greenery under using Glue Dots.
I took my Purple Posy Ink Pad and dipped my Wink Of Stella Pen into it and splattered the card with just a bit of Purple Posy sparkle!
Add a Rhinestone to each corner of the label.

I hope you enjoyed todays card!

Happy Stamping and Creating!
