Black & White Magnolia Mood Card
I love making Black & White cards! This card is simple with such a great pop of black.
Card Front Directions:
Cut a Basic Black Card Stock base to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".
Die cut a Basic White C/S Scalloped Contours Die layer. **This die set is retiring! Get it before its gone!! Click on the photo of the Contours Die Set in the "Product List" below to order.
Die cut 2 Basic Black C/S large Magnolia flowers. One is used on the card, one is used as a stencil.
Using one of the Basic Black C/S flower dies, lay it onto the Basic White Contours Die cut and using a Blending Brush and Smoky Slate Ink, lightly sponge around the die cut.
*Tip: I ink up my Blending Brush then I remove some of the ink onto scrap paper so I don't have too much ink on the brush. You just want a soft look. Once you are finished, keep the die cut for future cards to stencil.
Splatter some Basic Black Ink onto the Basic White C/S layer using a Stampin' Write Marker. I tap the marker barrel with my Bone Folder to get some ink to splatter.
Attach the other Basic Black Magnolia Die cut to the layer using Dimensionals. I off-set it slightly from the stenciled ink image. Attach to the Basic Black card base.
Die cut some leaves using Basic White C/S. Add a touch of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue and tuck them underneath the Magnolia Die.
Stamp a sentiment using Memento Black Ink.
Wrap some White Bakers Twine 2x's around the card and tie into a bow.
Add some Sparkle Gems to the card front.
Inside of card:
Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White C/S.
Cut 2 thin Basic Black C/S strips and attach to the Basic White C/S layer, one horizontal and one vertical. See photo.
Stamp a small flower in the corner using Memento Black Ink.
I also stamped a small magnolia flower onto the envelope using Memento Black Ink to match the card.
