Canada Ink's Up Blog Hop

 Canada Ink's Up Blog Hop

Welcome to our second Blog Hop!!

My card today is a sneak peek of some new products that Stampin' Up! will be releasing in their new 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue on May 4!

Isn't that "Polished Pink Card Stock" gorgeous!! It's a new 2021-2023 In-Color.

The stamp set I used is "Elegantly Said". I stamped the flourish using "Polished Pink Ink" two times onto the card base. I then stamped the flower two times onto the Basic White panel using VersaMark then I heat embossed it using Black Embossing Powder.
Then I stamped the sentiment using Polished Pink Ink and heat embossed it using Clear Embossing Powder. Our Classic Ink Pads are wet enough that you can heat emboss with them!

I finished off the card with a "Simply Elegant Trim" bow and a super cute "Bumblebee Trinket".

Check out all the other Blog Hop participants!!

Happy Stamping and Creating!

Mother's Day Cards

 Mother's Day Cards

Mother's Day is fast approaching. Here are a few cards I made that not only celebrate Mom but also showcase some new products that Stampin' Up! will be releasing on May 4th, 2021 in their new Annual Catalogue!

For this card I used a New 2021-2022 In-Color called Fresh Freesia. I didn't have any matching ribbon so I used a Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blend and coloured some White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to match. I stamped the flower first using Fresh Freesia Ink, then I embossed the Basic White panel using the Painted Texture Embossing Folder. I added a small detailed butterfly from Brilliant Wings Dies, some Rhinestones and a tiny bit of Silver Glimmer Paper on the sentiment. The stamp sets are Flowering Blooms and Timeless Tulips for the sentiment.

For this card I added a silver bow from the new Simply Elegant Trim, a Silver Glimmer strip on the sentiment and a Vellum butterfly.

This card uses Soft Succulents Card Stock and Ink, a bow from Forever Greenery Trim Combo, sentiment from Quite Curvy and a Silver Foil detailed butterfly.

I hope you like todays card!

Spring Floral Card

Spring Floral Card For Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

I missed out on the last few sketch challenges at Freshly Made Sketches, I didn't want to miss out this week!!

I used a few "Sneak Peek" items from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. Can you spot them?

The new catalogue launches on May 4th, 2021!!

The stamp set is "Elegantly Said" and the Card Stock is "Fresh Freesia", one of the new 2021-2023 In-Colours. I also used the "Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends".

I started with a card base of Thick Basic White Card Stock, 8 1/2" x 7" and scored at 4 1/4".

Cut a piece of True Love Designer Series Paper to 3 3/4" x 6 1/2" and attached it to the card base.

Cut a piece of Fresh Freesia C/S to 5 3/4" x 3". Stamp the flower from "Elegantly Said" using Fresh Freesia Ink repeatedly onto the panel. Attach to the DSP layer.

Cut a piece of Basic White C/S to 5 1/4" x 2 1/2". Emboss using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder. Wrap some Purple Posy Playing With Patterns Ribbon around the bottom of the panel. I attached it to the back with some tape. Attach this panel to the Fresh Freesia panel.

Cut 2 pieces of Fresh Freesia C/S to 2 1/4" x 1/4" and attach 1 above the ribbon and 1 below the ribbon.

Cut a 1/4 X 6 1/2" strip of True Love DSP and attach it to the left hand side.

Fussy (hand) cut a flower bouquet from the True Love DSP and colour using Stampin' Blends. Sprinkle with some Wink Of Stella. I also added a few white dots inside the flower centers using my White Stampin' Chalk Marker. Attach to the card front using Dimensionals.

Add a bow using the Purple Posy Ribbon, attach with a Glue Dot.

Die cut a small detailed butterfly using Basic White C/S and the Brilliant Wings Dies. Attach using a Glue Dot.

Add some Rhinestones to finish off the card.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of todays card :)

Emboss Resist Technique

 Emboss Resist Technique

My card today has some Sneak Peak products in it from the up coming May 2021-April 2022 Annual Catalogue.

I used a new 2021-2023 In-Color, Soft Succulent. It is so pretty!!!

The stamp set and punch are from a bundle called Elegantly Said. I also used the Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon.

Todays card uses the emboss resist technique.

You first stamp your images onto some Basic White Card Stock using VersaMark Ink.

Sprinkle Clear or White Embossing Powder over the images and heat set with a Heat Tool.

Then using a Blending Brush and Soft Succulent Ink I added colour to the Card Stock. After you have finished adding the ink, wipe off the excess ink that is on the embossed images with some paper towel.

I added a Basic Black mat. I also embossed the front of the card base using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder.

Then I punched out one Basic White C/S tag and two Basic Black tags. Stamp your sentiment onto the Basic White tag and layer the two Basic Black tags behind to give a small border.

I finished it up with a double bow, some Rhinestones and a small Basic White butterfly from the Brilliant Wings Dies.

I hope you enjoyed todays card! Happy Stamping and Creating!

Simply Succulents Bundle

Simply Succulents Bundle

If you’re looking for a stamp set and dies you can use all year long, look no further! The Simply Succulents Bundle has sentiments you’ll reach for often: Thanks, You’ve been on my mind, Kind people are my kind of people, and You make the ordinary extraordinary. The dies in the bundle coordinate with the sentiments so you can create quick labels and tags. And you can use the flowers in the large die to create a background or cut them apart to make smaller accents. There’s so much you can do with this bundle!

Here are some beautiful samples from the Stampin' Up! design team!
