Canada Ink's Up! Blog Hop!

 Canada Ink's Up! Blog Hop!

It's time again for another Canada Ink's Up! Blog Hop!! This month the theme was anything we wanted. I decided that it's never too early to start my Christmas cards!

I started with a piece of Evening Evergreen Card Stock cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".

Cut a piece of the Boughs Of Holly Designer Series Paper to 4" x 5 1/4" and attach it to the card front.

From the Boughs Of Holly DSP, fussy cut one of the poinsettias. Set aside.

Cut a 1" x 5 1/2" strip of Basic White Card Stock and a 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" strip of Evening Evergreen C/S. Attach together using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. Glue down to the card front at an angle, see photos for placement. Carefully trim off excess after glueing down.

Stamp a sentiment onto the strip using Evening Evergreen Ink.

Using Dimensionals, attach the poinsettia flower. Attach the   Textured Element using Glue Dots. See photos for placement.

Using tiny dots of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue add some of the small gold "For Everything Sequins" to the corner of the Basic White C/S strip and to the center of the flower.

For the inside of the card, attach a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White C/S. I used a leaf from the Leaves Of Holly Stamp Set to add some interest to the inside of the card. Stamp a leaf using Evening Evergreen Ink and another leaf stamping off once to get a lighter tone. Do the same for the envelope!

I hope you like todays project!! Happy Stamping and Creating!

Sending Smiles and Sea Glass!

 Sending Smiles And Sea Glass!

We had another wonderful visit with my parents in sunny Sointula! This was our 3rd trip this year! We are very fortunate to be able to visit them so often!

This is the view from the small ferry we take to go to and from Sointula.

As usual we went searching for sea glass and the sea did not disappoint! I made two more card using the pretty sea glass. I just love how they turned out!

Click here to see the other sea glass card I made.

Both cards are 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". All the supplies I used to make the two cards are listed below. I did use the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder that has retired. Any embossing would be great!
