Trusty Toolbox Birthday Card

 Trusty Toolbox Birthday Card

I made this card using the Trusty Toolbox Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! It is one of the free with purchase offerings during Sale-A-Bration 2024. Check out the SAB Catalogue for more details and to view the free offerings.

Sale-A-Bration Catalogue

I struggle with masculine cards so this is perfect for me and I made it into a super simple fun fold as well.

Directions:

Cut Lost Lagoon Card Stock to 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".

Emboss the card front using the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder. This is another free with purchase offer!

Cut 2 coordinating pieces of the Trusty Toolbox DSP, 3" x 5 1/4" for the card front and 1 1/2" x 5 1/4" for the inside. Adhere to card.

Cut a 2 3/8" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White C/S for the inside. Adhere to inside of card.

Stamp using Memento Black Ink the dotted border from the Heartfelt Hexagon Stamp Set. Stamp the sentiment using Poppy Parade Ink onto the left side of the label. Punch out with the coordinating Heartfelt Hexagon Punch.

Also punch out a Basic Black C/S hexagon, cut it in half from the top to the bottom and layer behind the Basic White stamped hexagon just so a little border of black shows.

Loop up some Linen Thread and attach to the back left side of the label. Attach the label to the card front using Dimensionals only on the left side. See photos for placement.

Fussy cut some of the tools and attach them to the label.

Using the tiny + or x stamp from the He's All That Stamp Set, stamp it 5-7 onto Basic White C/S with Memento Black, Basic Grey and Smoky Slate Inks. Punch them all out with a small 1/4" circle punch. Using the Silicone Craft Sheet and the Fine Tip Glue, add a dot of glue to each + covering them completely. (I had an old bottle of Crystal Effects that I used to cover them.) Let them dry. This is how you can make your own embellishments to fit your card! I think they look like a screw head! Attach them to the card using a Glue Dot or Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Use another piece of the Trusty Toolbox DSP to decorate your envelope.

This is a great card for that handy person in your life!!

Happy Stamping and Creating!

I used the New Lighter Than Air Suite that is
has just released in the January-April 2024 Mini Catalogue on page 33. I love that Stampin' Up! offers Suite Collections, you get everything you need, it all co-ordinates together and it's 10% off!

The geometric Bubble Bath Designer Series Paper that I used on the card front is called Delightfully Eclectic. It's on page 129 of the 2023-2024 Annual Catalogue. You get 48 sheets in this huge package of DSP! It worked perfectly with todays card!

Card Directions:
Cut a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Thick Basic White Card Stock, score at 4 1/4".

Cut a piece of Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper to  4" x 5 1/4", attach the the card front.

Cut a piece of Balmy Blue C/S to 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" and attach to the card front.

Using the Lighter Than Air DSP, die cut a large balloon.

Die cut the large balloon detail and the small balloon detail from Lemon Lolly Card Stock.

Stamp the small balloon using Bubble Bath Ink onto Basic White C/S and die cut.

Stamp the large balloon basket using Lemon Lolly Ink onto Basic White C/S, die cut.

Die cut some Basic White C/S clouds.

Die cut a Basic White C/S sentiment banner. Stamp sentiment using Balmy Blue Ink.

Attach clouds to the card front using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Assemble balloon details using multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Attach balloons to the card front. I used Dimensionals on the larger balloon.

For the sentiment banner, I added 3 Dimensionals on top of each other in the center and glued the 2 ends flat so it pops up the center of the banner.

I kept the inside of my card simple by just adding a small strip of the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper along the bottom. This is the same DSP I used on the card front.

Finish off the card front with some of the co-ordinating Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots.

I added another co-ordinating piece of the Lighter Than Air DSP to my envelope flap.

Isn't this such a cheerful card!
I hope you get a chance to look over the 2 new catalogues. If you have any questions please reach out to me and I would be happy to help you. If you live in Canada I would love to be your Demonstrator!
