 Grassy Grove Deer Card

How adorable are these deer! I love how the momma deer is looking back at the baby.

Directions:

Cut a piece of Night Of Navy Card Stock to 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2" for your card base.

Cut a piece of Night Of Navy C/S to 4" x 5 1/4" and emboss using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. Attach it to the card base.

Using 2 Stitched Rectangle Dies and Basic White C/S, layer them together using some washing tape to create a frame then run through the "Stampin' Cut And Emboss Machine". Keep the center piece for the inside of your card.

Cut a piece of the New Horizons Designer Series to 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". Stamp some birds and grass using Memento Black Ink. 

Add Dimensionals all along the Basic White frame and attach the Designer Series Paper to the back then attach both to the card base.

Die cut 2 deer using Basic Black C/S.

Add a Bakers Twine Bow to the frame.

For the inside I added a sentiment and some trees that were stamped off once using Soft Succulent Ink.

      Awesome Otters Stamp Set

This is a stamp set that you can earn for FREE during Sale-A-Bration 2022. Check out the SAB Catalogue on the right hand side of my Blog "Web Version". The Designer Series Paper, "Simply Marbleous", is also a FREE SAB item! I thought it looked like gentle waves, a perfect background for a Sea Otter.

I used two different colour layouts. One is Balmy Blue Card Stock and Soft Sea Foam C/S and the other is Coastal Cabana C/S and Pool Party C/S.

I started with a card base, 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2". 

Cut a piece of Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper to 4" x 5 1/4". Attach to the card base, adding glue around the edges only. 

Attach the coordinating coloured card stock, cut to 5 1/4" x 4", to the inside of the card. 

Using the Layering Circles Dies, cut out a circle from the card front on the right hand side. If you haven't added glue all over the DSP you will get a circle of C/S and DSP that you can re-use. My circle opening is approx. 2 1/2".

Die cut a Basic White C/S circle that is smaller than the opening, mine is approx. 2". 

Stamp the Otter using Memento Black Ink onto the Basic White C/S circle. Colour using Stampin' Blends. I used Basic Black on his nose, Ivory on the body, Bronze on his chest and Light and Dark Balmy Blue on the water. I splattered on some Wink Of Stella as well for some sparkle!

Attach this circle to the inside of the card so it shows through the circle opening. I used Dimensionals to attach it. 

Stamp the inside sentiment using Memento Black Ink.

Using a strip of Basic White C/S and Memento Black Ink, stamp "It's Birthday Time!" Flag cut one end. Attach to the card front using Dimensionals. Add an Opal Round Embellishment and a Fan Bakers Twine bow to finish it off.

 Sunshine And Rainbows

It's funny to be doing a blog post called Sunshine And Rainbows when we woke up to a winter wonderland this morning in Beautiful British Columbia!! It is very pretty if you don't have to drive in it!

Directions for todays card:

Cut a Basic White Card Stock base, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".

Cut a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" piece of Pale Papaya C/S and attach it to the card base.

Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Sunshine And Rainbows Designer Series Paper and attach it to the Pale Papaya C/S layer. This DSP is a Sale-A-bration freebie with a qualifying order!!

Die cut a Polished Pink C/S bicycle from the Windmill Fields Dies. Using Glue Dots, attach it to the card front. Add a few Rhinestones to the wheels.

Cut a piece of the Night Of Navy Bakers Twine from the Fan Bakers Twine Collection. Add some adhesive to an area on the card front and loop the Bakers Twine back and forth so it will show up under the sentiment tag. 

Cut a 2 1/4" x 1 1/4" piece of Pool Party C/S. Attach it overtop of the Bakers Twine using Dimensionals. 

Die cut a tag using Basic White C/S and the Meadow Dies. Stamp a sentiment using Misty Moonlight Ink and the Calming Camellia Stamp Set. Using Dimensionals, attach it to the Pool Party C/S strip.
