Christmas Star

This is one of the cards my Card Club By Mail ladies did last month. It is a simple card but very pretty!

If you live in Canada and you place a minimum $60.00 order with me you will receive a kit and PDF instructions for 4 cards!! I supply all the Card Stock, Ribbon, Embellishments and Designer Series Paper needed to complete the projects. You will need to stamp your own greetings. Every month is 4 different cards and or projects.

This card has lots of texture! I used 2 different Embossing Folders and the beautiful textured Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper. Check out that sparkly Glitter Star Ornament!! So pretty!!!!

Directions:

Cut Whisper White Card Stock base to 4 1/4” x 11” and score at 5 1/2”.

Cut a piece of Old Olive C/S to 4” x 5 1/4”. Emboss using the Scripty Embossing Folder. Attach to card base.

Cut a piece of Whisper White C/S and Plush Poinsettia DSP to 4 3/4” x 1 1/2”, attach the DSP to the WW piece. This makes the DSP “pop” more. Attach the Glitter Star Ornament behind this piece using a Glue Dot. 

Cut the Red Velvet Paper to 1” x 4 1/2” and emboss using the Absolutely Argyle Embossing Folder. Attach to card front, also attach the Plush Poinsettia DSP, it slightly overlaps the Red Velvet Paper. 

Stamp sentiment onto a piece of Crumb Cake C/S and using the Banners Pick A Punch flag cut one end. Attach to card front using Dimensionals. Glue dot the Star to the end of the tag.

Colour 3 Rhinestones with a Black Sharpie or Black Stampin’ Blends. Attach to card.

"DAD"  Card For Freshly Made Sketches

My card base is Pear Pizzaz with a 4" X 5 1/4" panel of Pear Pizzaz that I embossed with the Absolutely Argyle Embossing Folder. I then cut some strips of Country Club Designer Series Paper and one strip of Night Of Navy Card Stock, and attached them to the card following the sketch.  I die cut two pieces of "Rope" from the Smooth Sailing Die with Night Of Navy Card Stock and glued one to the horizontal piece of DSP. I partially punched out a piece of Whisper White C/S using the Everyday Label Punch. I die cut the letters, DAD from a retired set called Little Letters using Night Of Navy and attached them to the tag and then stapled the other piece of the Rope Die Cut behind the tag. It is attached to the card using dimensional.
