Fun & Easy Shaker Card & A Blog Hop!

 Fun & Easy Shaker Card!!

It's another Blog Hop with our team Canada Ink's Up!!

This months theme is a fun fold. I think a shaker card falls into that category?? This is a card we will be making at my December Card Club! Be sure to hop along to all the other participants! The list is near the bottom of this post.

I saw this technique from Patty Bennett and I have been making lots of these fun cards! It's very addicting!

I started with a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Basic White Card Stock, scored at 5 1/2". The open end of this card base will be the top of the card.

Using a Clear Cello Stampin' Up! Envelope, place a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Window Sheet inside the envelope.

Fill with Sequins! Make sure your sequins are on the front side of the envelope/window sheet with the flap, that will be the front. Tape the opening closed with some scotch tape. You don't want all your precious sequins escaping!

Remove the clear envelope release tape and with the card base opening at the TOP and the clear envelope opening at the top, line up the bottom of the envelope to the bottom of the C/S and the sides evenly. Once you are happy with the placement, fold the envelope adhesive flap over to the inside of the card base. Using Tear and Tape, completely seal the card closed on the top, bottom and both sides. Now the clear envelope lifts up and becomes your card front!

Attach a layer of 4" x 5 1/4" of Basic Black C/S, then a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Designer Series Paper to the inside of the card.

Die cut 2 Basic White C/S labels using the Tasteful Labels Dies. Stamp one with a sentiment and one with the ornaments using Memento Black Ink.

Die cut a large and small Basic Black C/S Christmas tree using the Christmas Tree Dies. Using the Tinsel Die, cut some Silver Foil or Silver Glimmer Paper tinsel. Glue onto the small tree using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Attach the front label using some Tear And Tape.

To attach the inside label, I lined it up with the front label, then glued it down. Attach the larger Christmas tree inside.

Add some Wink Of Stella to the ornaments.

If you need more room to hand write your greeting use the back of the card.

I hope you like todays card and have a chance to play around and create some of these fun fold shaker cards for yourself!

Happy Stamping and Creating!

Arlene
