Paper Napkin Cards!

 Paper Napkin Cards

Here are a few quick and easy cards made from paper napkins.

I pulled apart a paper napkin until I had just the one layer with the design on it. I cut it down so it was a bit bigger than my card stock. Using a glue stick, I completely covered the card stock with the glue. Then I placed the napkin down over the card stock and rubbed gently to adhere the napkin. Then I trimmed off the excess. That's it!!

You will never look at paper napkins the same way again!!

For the first card I used the Pop-Up Petals Bundle, All In A Row Embossing Folder,  Deckled Circles Dies, Party Banners Dies,  Hydrangea Hue Ribbon, Hydrangea Hue and Golden Glow Stampin' Blends. (2 new In-colors!)

For this card I used Night Of Navy Cardstock, Beautiful Butterflies Dies (retired), Notes Of Spring Stamp Set and Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

Now is the time to go and search your drawers for all those pretty paper napkins you have collected and make some cards!!

The new May-August 2026 Stampin' Up! Catalogue launches on Tuesday May 5th as well as the new On-Line Exclusives!! I will post the links on Tuesday!

Fun Fold Swinging Airplane Card

Fun Fold Swinging Airplane Card

I love making easy "fun fold" cards! This one is simple, fun and interactive! The Adventurous Sky Bundle from Stampin' Up! was the perfect set for this interactive fun fold!

The airplane is hanging from a small piece of Window Sheet so that when you move the card the plane swings back and forth on the Window Sheet like a pendulum. How cool is that!!

I have a short video at the end showing how this card swings!

I've heard it also called a "swing and sway" fun fold.

Directions:

Cut a Boho Blue Card Stock base to 5 1/2" x 10 1/4" and score at 4 1/4", 7 1/4" and 9".

Fold like photo below.

 Layers:

Small front flap: 1 1/8" x 5 3/8" piece of Basic White Card Stock, embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder.

Large card front: 2 7/8" x 5 3/8" piece of the Take To The Sky Designer Series Paper.

Inside flap: 1 5/8" x 5 3/8" piece of Take To The Sky DSP.

Inside card: 1" x 5 3/8" Take to the Sky DSP.

Attach all of these pieces using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Die cut a Basic White Deckled Circle for the inside of the card. Make sure when the card is closed that this circle doesn't show. I stamped a small plane on it using Memento Black Ink. Also stamp a plane on the envelope to match the card.

Stamp the plane onto Basic White C/S using Memento Black Ink and die cut. Colour using Stampin' Blends. I used Black on the tires and Smoky Slate on the plane. I also added Wink Of Stella to the propeller.

Punch out 1 Basic White C/S label and 2 Night Of Navy C/S labels using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch.

Stamp the sentiment onto the Basic White label using Memento Black Ink.

Layer the 2 Night Of Navy C/S labels behind the sentiment label so that just a small border of Night Of Navy shows behind. This helps the sentiment label stand out more.

Attach the plane to the end of a 1/2" x 2 1/2" piece of Window Sheet using Tear & Tape. If you want your plane to hang lower just extend the length of the Window Sheet.

Punch a small hole (3/8") in the other end of the Window Sheet. Attach a Mini Dimensional to the Basic White Embossed panel on the card front about 1/4 of the way down. Hook the Window Sheet hole over the Dimensional. Attach 2 more Dimensionals just above the single one, remove all the Dimensionals backings and attach the sentiment label over them. Now your plane will swing back and forth!!

Add some Tinsel gems to finish off the card!

Here is a short video showing the airplane swinging motion.

Night Sky Folded Corner Card

 Night Sky Folded Corner Card

In some parts of the World there have been solar storms creating the most magical Northern Lights displays! How amazing!!

So I thought it was fitting to design a card with a night sky scene.

This fun fold is called a "Folded Corner Card".

Directions:

Cut a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Basic Beige Card Stock and score in half at 4 1/4".

Open the card and on the right edge on the right side measure down 3" and make a small pencil mark right on the edge. Place the open card into your trimmer and SCORE from the 3" mark to the 4 1/4" score line. This creates the corner fold.

Fold this flap down to the card front and burnish.

Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic Grey C/S and a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of the Country Woods Designer Series Paper. Attach these together, then attach to the card front. *Tip: I made a mark on these layers where the card base folds down and I trimmed off the corner.

Glue down the corner fold.

Die cut a Basic White C/S and a Basic Black C/S Deckled circle using the Deckled Circles Dies. The Basic Black C/S circle is one size larger then the Basic White circle.

Deckled Circles Dies #162286 $51.00 CAD

Using Blending Brushes, add some Misty Moonlight Ink to the Basic White C/S circle. Then add some Night Of Navy Ink on the outer part of the circle.

Using Memento Black Ink and the Encircled In Nature Stamps, stamp some trees onto the circle.

Encircled In Nature Bundle #163629 $73.75 CAD

Die cut some Basic Black C/S trees from the Encircled In Nature Dies. Attach to the circle.

Using a White Gel pen, add lots of tiny dots all over the circle, careful to avoid adding dots to the trees.

Attach the 2 circles together using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. Add a few Dimensionals to the glued down flap and attach the circles.

Stamp a sentiment onto Basic White C/S using Night Of Navy Ink. Flag cut the ends and attach to some Basic Black C/S. Attach to the card front using Dimensionals.

Add a 3 loop Linen Thread Bow using a Glue Dot.

I also stamped some trees and added some ink with the Blending Brushes and white dots to the inside of the card and the envelope.

I have the complete list of supplies below that I used for todays card. Just click on the images and you will be directed to my store where you can purchase the items to make your own Folded Corner Card!
