A Simple Card Layout

A Simple Card Layout

Sometimes you need to make a quick and simple card, but you still want it to look amazing!

This layout is very easy and quick.

Card Base: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"

Night Of Navy C/S layer: 5 1/4" x 4"

Night Of Navy C/S flap: 5" x 3 1/4" score at 1" on the longer side. This 1" tab is glued behind the Night Of Navy C/S panel before you attach it to the card base. This creates the flap.

Designer Series Paper: 5 1/8" x 3 7/8", on the long 5 1/8" side, cut 1" off of each end. Keeping them in order so that when you attach them to the card the pattern matches up.

Basic White C/S inside layer: 3 7/8" x 3"

I love stamping a sentiment in a dark ink then stamping a flower or leaf over top of it with a lighter ink.

Scrap of Basic White C/S and Night Of Navy C/S for the sentiment.

Scrap of Basic White Ribbon, folded.

Don't forget the bling!

This is also a great way to use up all that Designer Series Paper!

Pop-Up Card

 Pop-Up Card

Hello and welcome to my blog. I have a fun and easy pop-up card to share with you today.

Note: I have been having some technical issues with my blog for the last few weeks, my apologizes if you received posts that you could not access. Fingers crossed it is all been corrected!

Here is todays card:

When you open the card the Designer Series Paper pops out for a fun look! Change up the colors and the Designer Series Paper and this would make a great Christmas Card!

Directions:

Cut a card base using Gorgeous Grape Card Stock cut to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".

Cut a layer of Highland Heather C/S to 5 1/4" x 4" and attach to the card base.

Cut a Basic White C/S layer to 5" x 3 3/4", emboss it using the Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder. Attach it to the card base.

Cut a layer of Basic White C/S to 3 1/4" x 2" and stamp the tree from Pine Tree Trimmings in Memento Black Ink. Attach it to a 3 3/8" x 2 1/8" piece of Basic Black C/S. Attach this panel to the card front using Dimensionals.

Stamp a sentiment from Natures Print Stamp Set using Memento Black Ink and Basic White C/S. Cut a thin strip of Highland Heather C/S and glue it behind the sentiment so that just a small amount shows at the bottom. Attach the sentiment to the card front using Dimensionals.

Add a Black And White Gingham Bow and some Frosted Iridescent Dots to the card front to finish it off.

Inside:

Cut two pieces of Highland Heather C/S to 5 1/4" x 4" and emboss both with the Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder. Attach to the inside of the card, top and bottom.

Using a 6" x 6" piece of Designer Series Paper, right side facing up, fold the paper in half both ways. Try to be very accurate.  Use your bone folder to get a clean crisp fold. Fold the paper in half diagonally one time only. Burnish, then pushing in the sides, fold into a square.

Keeping the pop up folded into a square with the open end pointing down, place the top point of the Designer Series Paper square just a smidge below the score line inside the card. Add glue to the DSP and close the card. Give it a good rub so the glue adheres.

Open the card up and add glue to the other side of the pop up, close the card and let the glue dry.

Now when you open the card you have this fun pop up!

Cut two pieces of Basic White C/S to 2 3/4" 2 3/4". Stamp a Memento Black Ink tree onto one of the layers on the diagonal. The second piece I left blank to write my message. Glue both pieces inside the card.

Don't forget to stamp your envelope too!

I hope you enjoyed todays card, give it a try!

Water Color Painted Sunflower Card

 Water Color Painted Sunflower Card

Hello and welcome to my Blog.

I have been having technical issues and I am trying hard to resolve them. My apologizes to everyone, bare with me.

I designed todays card using the new Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder.

SUNFLOWER 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER

$16.50 #166145

It is so popular it keeps selling out!! It will be available again September 29th.

For todays card I decided to water color the sunflower.

I started by cutting a piece of water color paper to 5" x 5" and running it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine using the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder.

I used my Water Painters, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, Old Olive, Timid Tiger, Darling Duckling, Daffodil Delight and Pecan Pie Inks.
*Tip: If you push down on the stamp pad lid when it's closed, it will transfer some of the ink to the lid and you can use that as your paint palette. Using these colors, I made sure my brush was wet and I started adding color to the image. I start off lightly then I can build up more color as I go along. After I finished coloring the flowers and the leaves, I splattered some Pecan Pie Ink very lightly over the image. I love this look! Once you are happy with the results, set it aside to dry.

After it dried completely, I attached it to a 5 1/8" x 5 1/8" piece of Basic Black Card Stock using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Then I wrapped some Black Bakers Twine around this layer a few times and tied a bow on the right hand side.

Then I attached this layer to my card base, Timid Tiger Card Stock cut to 5 1/4" x 10 1/2" and scored in half.

I stamped my sentiment onto Basic White Card Stock using Memento Black Ink and the Light & Wonder Stamp Set. After stamping the black ink image, I stamped the word "Love" over top of it using Timid Tiger Ink. Flag cut one end and attach using Dimensionals to the card front.

LIGHT & WONDER PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET

$26.00 #165756

Light & Wonder Stamp Set (This is also available as a Bundle Set.)
I added a Bumblebee Trinket to the tag to finish the card off.

I hope you have enjoyed todays card!

Happy Stamping and Creating!
