Canada Ink's Up Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to another Blog Hop. This months theme is "Spring". I love making Spring cards so this was an easy one for me!
Isn't that shimmery paper beautiful! I almost missed it in the Catalogue! It's on page 67 of the January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue. It looks very blue in the catty but it's much whiter in real life.
Directions for today card:
Cut a Pool Party card base of 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2".
Cut a piece of the Heart and Home Designer Series Paper to 4" x 5 1/4". Attach this piece to the card base.
Cut a piece of the Supple Shimmer Specialty Paper to 1 1/2" x 4" and attach to the card front.
Die cut a large Scalloped Contours Die Rectangle using Basic White Card Stock.
Using Memento Black Ink, stamp the floral image onto the scalloped rectangle.
Colour using Stampin' Blends. I used Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam and Pale Papaya. Since there is no Pear Pizzazz Blends and I wanted my flower stems to be a bit darker but not too dark, I coloured them using a Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends then I used the Stampin' Blends Color Lifter and removed some of the colour to lighten it.
Splatter some Wink Of Stella onto the flowers.
Stamp the sentiment using Memento Black Ink onto Basic White C/S. Cut the sentiment apart and using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue, attach it to the scalloped rectangle beside the flower.
Using Dimensionals, attach this art panel to the card front.
Wrap some Silver Simply Elegant Trim 2x around the card front and tie into a bow. *Tip- I used a Glue Dot to hold my bow in place.
Add a few Polished Dots to the card front.
For the inside, I simply cut a Basic White C/S panel to 4" x 5 1/4" and stamped the larger floral image using Pool Party Ink.
