Blending Brushes and Butterflies
Here is my card for this weeks sketch challenge over at
I had fun playing with the "Blending Brushes". They are so easy to use.
I started with a 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" piece of Thick Basic White Card Stock.
Using a piece of scrap paper, cover half of the card front, sponge Calypso Coral Ink over the other half using the Blending Brushes. Repeat on the other side using Daffodil Delight Card Stock.
Cut a thin, long strip of Basic Black card Stock, glue to the card from corner to corner. Turn over and trim off excess.
Using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, splatter some ink over the card.
Die cut 2 detailed butterflies using the Brilliant Wings Dies, one in Basic Black and one in Magenta Madness. Attach them together with a thin strip of a Dimensional. Attach to the card front using another thin strip of a Dimensional.
Using a Black Sharpie Marker or a Basic Black Stampin' Blend, colour 3 Rhinestones and attach to the card front.
I didn't add any sentiment. If I find I need a card at the last minute I can quickly add the sentiment.
All the supplies are listed below. Just click on the photo and you will be taken to my on-line shop. Or contact me for more details or to shop. Thank you!
Happy Stamping and Creating!

Not sure what I love more: the inked panels or stunning layered butterfly! Gorgeous card. Thanks for playing along with us at FMS.
ReplyDeleteThis is quite stunning! The double layer of the butterfly against the softly shaded background is so beautiful! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
