 Lost Lagoon Birthday Card

I'm so happy that Stampin' Up! brought back Lost Lagoon to its colour families! It's such a pretty colour! It looks so great paired with Basic Black too!

Directions:

Cut a Basic White Card Stock base to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score in half at 4 1/4".

Cut a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper and attach it to the card front.

Cut a piece of Basic Black C/S to 5" x 3 3/4" and attach to the card front.

Cut a piece of Basic White C/S to 4 1/8" x 3". Using Lost Lagoon Ink and the large flower from Artistically Inked Stamp Set, stamp the flower in the center/top of this layer. Stamp the flower center using Daffodil Delight Ink. Die cut out the flower. 

The negative is attached to the card base using Dimensionals. 

Using Dimensionals on the back of the flower, place it back inside the negative cut out. I love the way that the Basic Black C/S shows around the flower!

Die cut a Basic Black C/S leaf sprig. Cut off 2 leafs and tuck them slightly under the flower using a Glue Dot. 

Cut out 2 very thin pieces of Basic Black C/S. Fold and glue the ends together to make 2 loops. Tuck them under the flower attaching with Glue Dots. This is a fun and easy way to add some more interest and dimension to a card.

On a strip of Basic White C/S stamp a sentiment using Memento Black Ink. I also added a coordinating strip of the Inked Botanicals DSP at the end of the sentiment strip. Attach it to the card front using Dimensionals.

Tie a bow using Black Bakers Twine, attach with a Glue Dot.

Attach a large Rhinestone to the center of the flower, then surround it with the smaller Rhinestones.

Add a few more Rhinestones to finish off the card.

I stamped a smaller Lost Lagoon flower inside the card and on the envelope.

I really enjoy colouring, I find it very relaxing. For todays card I used my Stampin' Blends and the Host Designer Series Paper, Pattern Party. This DSP collection has 48 double sided sheets with some black and white patterns that are perfect for the Stampin' Blends or sponging!

Directions and sizes:

The card base is Flirty Flamingo Card Stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". 

Cut a 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of the striped pattern from the Pattern Party Host Designer Series Paper, attach to the card base using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Cut a 2 1/4" x 4 1/4" piece of the black and white floral Pattern Party DSP. Color using Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo Stampin' Blends. Once dry, attach this DSP panel to a piece of 2 1/2" x 4 1/4" Basic Black Card Stock. Using Dimensionals, attach this panel to the card base.

Add some Wink Of Stella to the flowers. Once dry, add Shimmery Crystal Effects to the flower centres. Set aside to dry completely. 

Ink up the Many Messages Stamp Set using Memento Black Ink, stamp onto Basic White C/S and die cut out all the sentiments at one time! *Tip: I keep all the extras in the die pouch so that they are there when I need them! Stamp them in all the different colours so you have lots ready to use! Attach the sentiment to the card front using Dimensionals. 

Tie a triple bow using Basic White Bakers Twine. Attach under the sentiment using a Mini Glue Dot.

Using your Stampin' Cut And Emboss Machine, die cut a Basic Black C/S floral image from the Artistic Dies. I cut it apart to use just a small section. Add some Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to the end and tuck it under the sentiment tag. *Tip: make sure you keep the remainder of the die cut in the die pouch to use on another card!

This is a great layout to use over and over. Just change the Card Stock colours and Designer Series Paper!

 You Inspire Me & New Product Sneak Peek

As a Demonstrator we are able to view all the new catalogues early. As well as place a "pre-order". I do love this perk!! Todays card has a few new items that will be released on August 3rd, 2021.

I also designed todays card for the sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches. Check out all the other participants HERE.

Can you spot the new products? One is a new stamp set, I used for the sentiment, "Delicate Dahlias", it's gorgeous! The other is the stunning "Be Dazzling 6x6 Specialty Paper". It is so sparkly and beautiful!!!

My card is very simple. I started with a Basic Black Card Stock base, 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2".

I used my Stampin' Trimmer and cut a 2" piece of the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper. I attached it to my card base at an angle using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue, then I trimmed off the excess using my Paper Snips.

I stamped 3 flowers and 2 leaves from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set onto Basic White C/S using Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green Inks. I die cut them out using the coordinating Artistic Dies. I splattered some Wink Of Stella onto the flowers. 

I attached the flowers using Dimensionals and then I tucked the leaves under the flowers and attached them using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. 

I stamped the sentiment using VeraMark Ink and heat embossed it using White Embossing Powder. 

Look at that sparkle!!!
