 Lost Lagoon Birthday Card

I'm so happy that Stampin' Up! brought back Lost Lagoon to its colour families! It's such a pretty colour! It looks so great paired with Basic Black too!

Directions:

Cut a Basic White Card Stock base to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score in half at 4 1/4".

Cut a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper and attach it to the card front.

Cut a piece of Basic Black C/S to 5" x 3 3/4" and attach to the card front.

Cut a piece of Basic White C/S to 4 1/8" x 3". Using Lost Lagoon Ink and the large flower from Artistically Inked Stamp Set, stamp the flower in the center/top of this layer. Stamp the flower center using Daffodil Delight Ink. Die cut out the flower. 

The negative is attached to the card base using Dimensionals. 

Using Dimensionals on the back of the flower, place it back inside the negative cut out. I love the way that the Basic Black C/S shows around the flower!

Die cut a Basic Black C/S leaf sprig. Cut off 2 leafs and tuck them slightly under the flower using a Glue Dot. 

Cut out 2 very thin pieces of Basic Black C/S. Fold and glue the ends together to make 2 loops. Tuck them under the flower attaching with Glue Dots. This is a fun and easy way to add some more interest and dimension to a card.

On a strip of Basic White C/S stamp a sentiment using Memento Black Ink. I also added a coordinating strip of the Inked Botanicals DSP at the end of the sentiment strip. Attach it to the card front using Dimensionals.

Tie a bow using Black Bakers Twine, attach with a Glue Dot.

Attach a large Rhinestone to the center of the flower, then surround it with the smaller Rhinestones.

Add a few more Rhinestones to finish off the card.

I stamped a smaller Lost Lagoon flower inside the card and on the envelope.

I wish everyone a happy and healthy 2023. Thank you for following along on my Blog and sending me comments! I love hearing from you.

I have a sneak peak card for you today. It's the adorable "Thanks A Bunch" Stamp Set that will be one of the free Sale-A-Bration offerings starting January 5th, 2023.

 Who knew carrots could be so cute!! 

I started with a piece of Thick Basic White Card Stock, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored in half at 4 1/4".

Cut a piece of the New "Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper" to 4" x 5 1/4" and attach it to the card base. This DSP is another free Sale-A-Bration offering! It has 48 double sided sheets!

Cut a piece of Vellum to 4 5/8" x 3 5/8" and attach over the DSP layer. *Tip: add adhesive to the Vellum where it will be covered by the art panel so the adhesive doesn't show through.

Cut a piece of Basic White C/S to 3" x 4". Stamp the carrots in 2nd generation Pumpkin Pie Ink. What does 2nd generation mean?? Ink up the carrot stamp, stamp off once onto scrap paper then stamp onto the C/S. This gives you a lighter colour. Stamp the carrot detail stamp in full strength Pumpkin Pie Ink. Stamp the carrot tops in Garden Green Ink. Stamp 3 more carrot tops onto scrap paper, fussy cut and attach over the stamped carrot tops using Dimensionals.  

Cut a piece of Crumb Cake C/S to 3 1/8" x 4 1/8" and layer the art panel onto this.

Wrap some Crumb Cake Essentials Bakers Twine around this panel 2x's and tie a bow onto the right side. Attach this layer to the card base using Dimensionals.

Stamp "Thanks" and "a bunch" onto Basic White C/S using Memento Black ink. Cut apart and attach to the card using Dimensionals.

Add a Bumblebee Trinket or whatever you have on hand to finish off the card.

Little card, big thanks! What a great sentiment stamp! 

This is my card for the challenge over at

Freshly Made Sketches. 

I used the new 2021-2023 In-Color Pale Papaya Card Stock and Classic Ink. The stamp set I used, Flowers Of Friendship Bundle, is also new. the set comes with a punch for quick and easy cards!

I started with a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Pale Papaya Card Stock and I scored it at 5 1/2".

I stamped the flowers using Pale Papaya Ink 2x onto the card front. I then embossed the card front using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder.

Then I cut a 1 1/2" x 3 3/4" piece of Basic White Card Stock and I stamped the sentiment from the Flowers Of Friendship Stamp Set using Memento Black Ink. Using the Banner Triple Punch, banner cut the end.

Cut a 1 3/4" x 3 1/2" piece of Pattern Party Designer Series Paper from the Host Rewards pack. Banner punch the end. This package of DSP is an excellent value!! You can earn it for free with a $240.00 order. Contact me for more details. Attach the Basic White layer to the DSP layer. Adhere them to the card front using a Dimensional. 

Stamp some flowers and leaves onto Basic White Card Stock using the Flowers Of Friendship Stamp and Memento Black Ink. Colour using Stampin' Blends. Punch out using the coordinating flower punch. Attach the flowers to the tag using a Dimensional, glue the leaves in behind the flowers. Add a Matte Black Dot to the center of the flower. 

Finish off the card by adding a double Black Bakers Twine bow from the Bakers Twine Essential Pack.
