Artistically Inked Thank You Card

Hello and welcome to another Freshly made Sketch Challenge Card. I love joining this sketch challenge, it's helps me with my creativity!

This is the sketch layout that we followed this week.

Here is my interpretation of the sketch! 

                   

This card is very simple to make, it is only using stamps, inks and papers. You don't need any fancy tools to re-create this card. 

Directions:

Cut a Petal Pink Card Stock base to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score in half at 4 1/4".

Cut a piece of Basic Black C/S to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and attach to the card base using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Cut a piece of Basic White C/S to 4" x 5 1/4".

Stamp the large flower using Petal Pink Ink onto the Basic White C/S layer.

Stamp the leaves using Soft Sea Foam Ink.

Stamp the flower center using Daffodil Delight Ink.

Stamp "thanks" 3 times over top of the flower using Memento Black Ink.

Attach this panel to the card base using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

For the inside I did the same stamping as I did for the card front.

I stamped the front of the envelope using the same stamp pads but I used the smaller flower from the stamp set. No naked envelopes!! 

                                           That's it!!!! Easy right!

Oh boy! This was a difficult one for me! 

I really struggled putting together something that I liked following this layout. My trash bin was full!! 

So, I decided to do some score lines! I love it! It is soft and subtle yet so effective. I forget that adding score lines is sometimes all that you need to add some interest to a card!

Now, onto my card.

I used the returning Blueberry Bushel Card Stock for my card base and the flower. I'm so happy that it made a return to Stampin' Up's color family!

Directions:

Cut a Blueberry Bushel C/S base to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".

Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White C/S.

Score this Basic White layer at:

3/8", 1/2", 5/8"

1 1/8", 1 1/4", 1 3/8"

1 7/8", 2", 2 1/8 

2 5/8", 2 3/4", 2 7/8"

3 3/8, 3 1/2" and 3 5/8"

Attach this layer to the card base.

Die cut 2 Basic Black C/S leaf sprigs. Attach to the card using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Stamp the sentiment onto a Basic White C/S strip using Memento Black Ink. Angle cut both ends and attach using Dimensionals. 

Die cut 3 Blueberry Bushel C/S flowers. Layer together using  Mini Dimensionals. Attach to the sentiment strip using glue.

Add a Flat Backed Adhesive Pearl to the center of the flower. 

For the inside, I stamped some sprigs using Blueberry Bushel Ink.

It is a simple card but I just love how it turned out.....finally!!

 Freshly Made Sketches Sweet Songbird Card

I had fun with this weeks sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches!

This is the sketch challenge.

This is my interpretation of the sketch.

 I decided to use a few new colors that will be added to the Stampin' Up! Colors Collections May 2nd, 2023.

The card base is the new Azure Afternoon Card Stock and the bird and flowers are the Azure Afternoon Ink! It's such a  beautiful color!! I also used the new Pecan Pie Ink for the branch.

Directions:

Cut Azure Afternoon Card Stock to 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2".

Cut a piece of Basic White C/S to 4" x 5 1/4" and emboss using the New On-Line Exclusives Basics 3D Embossing Folder. Attach this layer to the card base using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. (Shop the On-Line Exclusives in my store Here!)

Die cut 2 Basic White C/S circles using the Stylish Shapes Dies. One large circle and one medium circle.

On the larger circle, stamp the branch and the birds feet in Pecan Pie Ink and the leaves in Soft Sea Foam Ink.

On a separate piece of Basic White C/S, stamp the bird and wing in Azure Afternoon Ink. Stamp the beak in Daffodil Delight Ink and the eyes in Memento Black Ink. Punch out using the co-ordinating Bird Punch. 

Attach the bird body using Dimensionals to the larger circle over top of the legs. Attach the wing using a Dimensional. Attach this circle to the card front using Dimensionals. 

On the medium circle, stamp the branch in Pecan Pie Ink, the leaves in Soft Sea Foam Ink and the flowers in Azure Afternoon Ink. Add some Rhinestones. Attach this circle to the card front using multi-purpose Liquid Glue.

On a scrap on Basic White C/S, stamp the sentiment using Memento Black Ink. Attach to the card using Dimensionals.

Wrap some Linen Thread around the card 2X and tie into a bow.

 For the inside I stamped the branch, leaves, flowers and the sentiment using the same colors as the card front.

Don' forget to decorate the envelope too!
