Tasteful Touches In Coral

Here is my card for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. Check out all the other amazing projects!

My card base is a 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock scored at 4 1/4". I embossed the front using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder. 

I stamped the flower from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set onto a 3x3" piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock using Smoky Slate Ink. I like to outline my image with the Light Pool Party Stampin' Blend Marker to help the image pop! I then coloured the flower with Light and Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends and a Light Daffodil Delight Blend for the flower center. I added some white dots to the center using the Chalk Marker. 

The sentiment is stamped onto a piece of scrap Very Vanilla Card Stock using Pretty Peacock Ink and cut out with my Paper Snips.

I mounted this panel onto a 3" x 31/4" piece of Early Espresso Card Stock. I added a 21/2" X 1/2" strip of Pretty Peacock C/S under the panel. I stamped this small strip with the floral image from the Tasteful Touched Stamp Set using Pretty Peacock Ink. 

The main panel is popped up using Dimensionals as is the sentiment.

Yellow Roses

I just love the beauty of the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series paper! The yellow roses look like a water coloured painting!

I designed this card for the sketch challenge this week for Freshly Made Sketches.

The card base is 4 1/4" X 11 and scored at 5 1/2".

The Designer Series Paper is cut at 2 1/4" X 5 and I glued it onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock measuring the same. Emboss this panel using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder. Then glue it to a piece of Basic Black C/S measuring 2 1/2" X 5 1/4". Attach to card front. Punch out a 2 1/4" circle from Basic Black C/S and a 2" circle from Whisper White C/S. Using the floral image from Tasteful Touches Stamp Set, ink it up with Bumblebee Ink, stamp off once onto scrap paper then onto the Whisper White circle, repeat again to fill up the circle. This is called "second generation" stamping. If you want a  "bold" look then stamp ink full strength. Attach Whisper White circle to Basic Black circle. Attach to card with Dimensionals (only on the right hand side). Stamp sentiment onto a strip of Whisper White C/S and attach to a slightly larger piece of Basic Black C/S. Add some Gold Thread from the Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo to the back of the sentiment strip, then attach to circles.

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

My card base is Smokey Slate cut to 4 1/4" X 11" scored at 5 1/2".

The Daffodil Delight Card Stock and In Good Taste Designer Series Paper are both cut at 2 1/2" X 2 1/2". I embossed the Daffodil Delight piece using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder and then attached them to the card front. The flower from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set is stamped onto Whisper White Card Stock using Sahara Sand Ink and coloured in with the Daffodil Delight Blends. I added some shadows using the Ivory Blends and some dots in the centre with the Chalk Marker. I tied the ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Pack around the card and attached the flower using Dimensionals. I stamp the sentiment onto a scrap piece of Whisper White C/S using Memento Black Ink and fussy cut it out. I attached it using Dimensionals.
