Beautiful Friendship



I really enjoyed making this card. Pool Party and Basic Black Card Stocks are such a great pair!! 

I first stamped the card base with the floral image from Painted Poppies using Pool Party Ink. I added the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper Panel, layered with Basic Black Card Stock and I die cut out 2 of the decorative strips from Painted Labels Dies, the seam is under the Starburst Punch and 2" Circle Punch sentiment layers. The sentiment, "Birthdays Are The Best Days" is stamped in Pool Party Ink. I finished it off with some Rhinestones and Ruched Daffodil Delight Ribbon.

Snow Day!!! ❆ ❄ ❅ ❄

It's a snow day here today in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver! Most schools are closed, happy kids!!!

Here is a cheery card to brighten this cold ⛄ day!

I used the New Painted Poppies Stamp Set. I stamped the poppies using Memento Black Ink and coloured them in with Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Blends. I also did a light watercolour wash on the art layer with my Aqua Painter and Pool Party Ink. Very lightly and very little water as it is only Whisper White Card Stock and not watercolour paper. This is a fun fold card, the Poppy Parade is cut 4 1/4 X 11, scored at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2, the one scored panel is folded back onto its self, then the front panel pieces (2 3/4 X 4 1/4, layer is 4 1/2 X 3) are attached only on the left hand side of the card using dimensionals. The sentiment is from Sending You Thoughts, a freebie from Sale-A-Bration!! I added a double White Bakers Twine bow on the end. The Designer Series Paper on the left side panel is Peaceful Poppies DSP, so pretty!!  

On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from Sending You Thoughts and I also stamped another Poppy and coloured it in with my Blends.

Painted Poppies

I love how this card turned out!! 

I used the Shimmery White Embossing Paste and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks, (page 181 of the Annual Catalogue). I only partially embossed the card front for a soft look. The Embossing Paste is very easy to use, just like icing a cake!! I used the Painted Poppies Bundle from the new Occasions Mini Catalogue. The Basic Black swirly circle made for a great base to showcase the beautiful poppy flower. I stamped the flower and leaves in Memento Black and coloured them with Purple Posy and Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends. I also used the Chalk Marker and added lots of dots to the inside of the flower and a bit of Wink Of Stella for even more sparkle!!

Happy Birthday is from Timeless Tulips stamped in Memento Black with a Soft Sea Foam die cut detail from Painted Labels Die and a Rhinestone to finish it off.
