Set Sail Card

I love this card!! I use Basic Black Card Stock in a lot of my cards. I feel it just has the big "pop" factor! This Basic Black C/S sailboat with the sunset behind it is so striking!

Directions:

Cut Bumblebee C/S to 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2".

Cut Basic Black C/S to 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" and emboss using the Splatters 3D Embossing Folder. Then attach to the card base.

Cut a piece of Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper to 3" x 4". It's the perfect background for a sunset! Stamp sentiment using Memento Black Ink and the Let's Set Sail Stamp Set onto the bottom. Attach this panel to the Basic Black C/S. 

Die cut 1 scalloped Basic Black C/S circle and 1 Simply Marbleous DSP circle that is slightly smaller using the layering Circles Dies. Stamp some birds onto the DSP circle using Memento Black Ink and splatter some Wink Of Stella onto the circle. Attach the 2 circles together using Multi-purpose Liquid Glue then attach them to the card front using Dimensionals. 

Punch out a sailboat using Basic Black C/S. Assemble the sailboat using Multi-purpose Liquid Glue. Attach it to the DSP circle using Mini Dimensionals. 

Add a few Matte Black Dots.

For the inside I simply stamped some birds onto the upper right hand side using Memento Black Ink onto a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White C/S.

Quiet Meadow Silhouette Cards

 Quiet Meadow Silhouette Cards

I have seen so many gorgeous cards made using this layout and I just had to make some as well!

This is such a simple layout. I simply used Balmy Blue Card Stock as my card base. Either landscape or portrait orientation. 

Then I cut another piece of Balmy Blue C/S measuring 5 1/4" x 4". I embossed it using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder and attached it to the card base.

I die cut some Basic Black C/S scalloped circles using the Layering Circles Dies. Then I die cut circles using the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper and attached them to the Basic Black C/S scalloped circles. Attach them to the card using Dimensionals. 

Die cut some floral sprigs from the Quiet Meadow Dies using Basic Black C/S and on one card I also used a Balmy Blue C/S floral sprig. Attach them to the circles.

For the sentiments, on one card I stamped directly onto the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper using Memento Black Ink and on the other card I added a separate sentiment strip. I used the Quiet Meadow Stamp for the sentiments.

      Awesome Otters Stamp Set

This is a stamp set that you can earn for FREE during Sale-A-Bration 2022. Check out the SAB Catalogue on the right hand side of my Blog "Web Version". The Designer Series Paper, "Simply Marbleous", is also a FREE SAB item! I thought it looked like gentle waves, a perfect background for a Sea Otter.

I used two different colour layouts. One is Balmy Blue Card Stock and Soft Sea Foam C/S and the other is Coastal Cabana C/S and Pool Party C/S.

I started with a card base, 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2". 

Cut a piece of Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper to 4" x 5 1/4". Attach to the card base, adding glue around the edges only. 

Attach the coordinating coloured card stock, cut to 5 1/4" x 4", to the inside of the card. 

Using the Layering Circles Dies, cut out a circle from the card front on the right hand side. If you haven't added glue all over the DSP you will get a circle of C/S and DSP that you can re-use. My circle opening is approx. 2 1/2".

Die cut a Basic White C/S circle that is smaller than the opening, mine is approx. 2". 

Stamp the Otter using Memento Black Ink onto the Basic White C/S circle. Colour using Stampin' Blends. I used Basic Black on his nose, Ivory on the body, Bronze on his chest and Light and Dark Balmy Blue on the water. I splattered on some Wink Of Stella as well for some sparkle!

Attach this circle to the inside of the card so it shows through the circle opening. I used Dimensionals to attach it. 

Stamp the inside sentiment using Memento Black Ink.

Using a strip of Basic White C/S and Memento Black Ink, stamp "It's Birthday Time!" Flag cut one end. Attach to the card front using Dimensionals. Add an Opal Round Embellishment and a Fan Bakers Twine bow to finish it off.
