Freshly Made Sketches

I just love how this card came together! 

I started with a card base of Calypso Coral Card Stock cut at 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2". Add a Whisper White layer 4" x 5 1/4".  Emboss this panel using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder. Attach to the card front. Cut a piece of Mint Macaron C/S to 1 1/2" x 4 3/4" and emboss using the Greenery Embossing Folder. I chose to use the de-bossed side. Cut a piece of Whale Of a Time Designer Series Paper to 3/4" x 4 1/2". Attach both of these to the card front with the Mint Macaron layer overlapping the DSP layer.  Cut a piece of Bermuda Bay C/S to 3/4" x 2 3/4", stamp the greeting from Itty Bitty Birthdays using VersaMark and emboss with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Flag cut the end using the Banner Pick A Punch. Attach to the card front using Dimensionals. Add a wood embellishment from the In Good Taste Elements using Glue Dots. Add 3 Champagne Rhinestones to the lower right corner.

Birthday Wishes Banners 

Here is another sketch challenge for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches. My daughter Sara designed this weeks card. Great card Sara!!!

Freshly Made Sketches

The card base is Misty Moonlight. Cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock 3"x 4' and a piece of Smoky Slate C/S to 2 3/4" x 4". Attach the Smoky Slate C/S onto the bottom of the Whisper White C/S, you want this layer to be 4" x 5 1/4". Attach the Misty Moonlight Ribbon over the seam of the two layers. I added a strip of Tear And Tape and placed my ribbon down, gather it to add some interest. Add this panel to the card front.

Cut a piece of Terra Cotta Tile C/S to 4" x 1 3/4" and flag cut the ends. Cut a piece of Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper to 1 1/2" x 3 1/2' and flag cut the ends. Attach to Terra Cotta Tile C/S banner. 

Cut a piece of So Saffron C/S to 1 1/2" x 4", and flag cut the ends. Cut a piece of Flowers For Every Season DSP 1 1/4" x 3 1/2" and flag cut the ends and attach to the So Saffron C/S banner.

Attach both banners to the card front using Dimensionals. (Avoid placing a Dimensional over the ribbon. This helps the banners to lay flatter.) 

Stamp a sentiment using Memento Black ink onto a scrap of Whisper White C/S. Roll up the right end. Attach over banners.

Using a Misty Moonlight Stampin' Blends, colour 3 Rhinestones. Let dry. Attach to the upper right of the card front in a triangle formation.

Honey Bee Bundle

I love this bright and cheery card! We all need some happiness right now. Any hobby you have is a great way to relieve stress and have some happy time. For me it's paper crafting! Time in my craft room is very relaxing and when I design a card that I love it's also very rewarding. 

The card base is Whisper White with a Basic Black layer and another layer of Daffodil Delight embossed with the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder. I stamped the Honey Bees, Hive and sentiment in Memento Black and die cut them out. The Honeycomb is die cut using Gold Foil and another cut using Gold Glimmer. Save all the bits and pieces for another creation! I added some Daffodil Delight Blends to the bees and of course some Wink Of Stella for some sparkle!
