You Are A Ray Of Sunshine Fun Fold Card

You Are A Ray Of Sunshine Card

This is a fun and simple fun fold card. I used the Everyday Arches Dies and matching stamp set.

Directions:

Cut a card base of Basic White Card Stock to 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and score at 2 3/4".

Cut 2 different pieces of Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper to 5 3/8" x 2 5/8" and 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" , layer together and attach to card base.

See it here: Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper

Cut 2 pieces of Everyday Happiness DSP to 5 3/8" x 1/2" and cut 2 pieces of Gold Foil Paper to 5 1/2" x 5/8",  attach the strips of DSP to the Gold Foil. Attach one to the card front and one inside the card.

Using the Everyday Arches Dies, cut 1 large Gold Foil Arch, using the next size down, cut 1 from the Everyday Happiness DSP and using the next size down, cut 1 from Basic White C/S.

Using Pretty Peacock Ink, stamp the sentiment onto the Basic White C/S arch.

Attach the DSP arch to the Gold Foil arch using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue, then attach the Basic White Arch using Dimensionals. Add Dimensionals to the lower portion of the back of the Gold Foil arch and attach to the center of the card base.

Using the Beautiful Butterflies Dies, cut out a Lost Lagoon body, a Pretty Peacock detailed body and a Gold Foil center. Layer together.

Wrap some Gold Twisted Thread around your fingers and using some Stampin' Seal to anchor it, attach it to the card front and using a few Dimensionals attach the butterfly over the thread.

Attach 1 Adhesive Backed Dragonflies and Birds embellishment.

Here is another I made using the Sweets Days Of Autumn DSP. I fussy cut out some of the critters.

I made the clouds by punching out a cloud shape and using my Blending Brush and Pool Party Ink.

I hope you have enjoyed todays cards and it inspires you to create some of your own designs.

I love the "pop" of red!

Cutting Guide

Cut Garden Green Card Stock 4 1/4" x 11" score at 5 1/2", this is the card base. I also cut one of the bases at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". Either works great! Set aside.

 Cut Basic White C/S: 4" x 5 1/4" and another piece @ 2 1/4" x 2 1/4".

Cut 4 strips of Gold Glimmer or Gold Foil Paper 1/4" x 6".

Cut the Season Of Green And Gold Designer Series Paper to  3 3/4" x 5".

Directions

Stamp your sentiment using Memento Black Ink onto the       2 1/4" x 2 1/4" Basic White C/S piece, turn it so it becomes a diamond shape. Stamp the sentiment more towards the top of the diamond.

Also stamp the bough from the Sophisticated Sled Stamp Set using Memento Black Ink onto a scrap of Basic White C/S and die cut with the co-ordinating die set. Stamp another bough just were the ribbon is and fussy cut it out.

Attach the sentiment to the center of the DSP in a diamond shape.

Take the first strip, add a little bit of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to it and lay it tight up to the Basic White C/S sentiment on the bottom right side and even with the edge of the square. It will go off the DSP and hang over. *See photos.

*TIP-I try to gauge how much of the strip needs glue on it so I don't have a gluey mess!

Next, add another strip tight up against the sentiment piece and butting up to the first strip, again it will go off the edge of the paper.

Continue with strip 3 and 4.

Turn the DSP over and trim off all the excess strips.

Attach this DSP layer to the Basic White C/S layer then attach it to the card base using Dimensionals.

Colour the bough and the ribbons using Mossy Meadow, Real Red and Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends. One of the bows I did in Real Red Blends the other was done in Pecan Pie Blends.

Using tiny cut up pieces of Dimensionals attach the fussy cut bow over top of the other bow for a 3D look. *See photo.

Attach the bough to the card front using Dimensionals.

Add tiny dots of the Gold Metallic Enamel Effects to all the berries on the bough. Set aside to dry.

Card Inside

 I stamped a Memento Black Ink wreath onto a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White C/S.

I coloured it with Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends and also used the Gold Enamel Effects on the berries. Leave the card open until it dries.

Don't forget to decorate your envelopes!

Happy New Year And Some Cards!!

Happy New Year And Some Cards!!

I hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Year! All the best for a wonderful, peaceful and healthy 2024 to everyone!

Ooooh, how I love 💜 the new products that I used to make these 2 cards!!!!

You don't have to wait much longer to see them for yourself! On Thursday January 4th, 2024 the new January-April 2024 and the 2024 Sale-A-Bration Catalogues go live!

My inspiration for these cards came right from the artists at Stampin' Up! I saw a card in the SAB Catalogue that I feel in love with. I added my own twist to it, and I just love how they turned out!

Can you spot all the new products that I used!! Check out that amazing "Layered Florals 3D" Embossing Folder!! For this card I used Old Olive and Calypso Coral Inks for the flowers and Pretty Peacock Ink for the sentiment.

I loved this layout so much I made another similar card. This time I used Old Olive, Highland Heather and Pretty Peacock Inks.

The stamp set I used is a Sale-A-Bration offering called "Softly Sophisticated". The dies are from a Bundle called "Thoughtful Expressions", it has great sentiments, art work  and 19 dies! Can you see that ribbon? It's "Pretty Peacock & Gold 3/8" Metallic Ribbon". It is so soft and easy to work with.

Which one do you like better?

Don't forget to decorate the envelope too.

I carried forward the look of the card front to the inside. Simple but pretty.

Coming soon, very soon.......

I hope you find time to be creative today.

Happy Stamping and Creating!
