Fall Card/Weekly Challenge

Fall Card For The Weekly Challenge

This is my card for the weekly challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. Be sure to check out everyones designs!

I decided to do a Fall inspirational card. I love the colours of the leaves this time of the year and the smell of the fresh cool air.

I used the beautiful "Delicate Dahlias" Stamp Set. It's a free set during Stampin' Up's! Sale-A-Bration promotion running until September 30th, 2021. (Check out the SAB catalogue on the right side bar.)
I stamped the detailed floral image using Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry Inks onto 1 3/4" Basic White squares and layered them onto 1 7/8" Basic Black squares. I then embossed all 3 squares using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder. I glued 2 of them flat to the card base and I popped up the middle one using Dimensionals.

I added a sprig and a butterfly using Black Glitter Paper and the Meadow Dies. Black Glitter Paper isn't just for Halloween!!

The sentiment from the Delicate Dahlias Stamp Set is stamped in Rich Razzleberry Ink onto a small scrap of Basic White C/S and attached to the card front using Dimensionals.

I hope you like todays card!!

Happy Stamping and Creating!

Arlene

Make Your Own Designer Series Paper

Make Your Own Designer Series Paper

It is very easy to make your own DSP. Pick a stamp, ink it up and stamp repeatedly onto your card stock. Make sure to fill it in as much as possible without too much overlapping. If you have open spaces use a smaller image to fill it in.

I made this card today to show you how easy it is to make DSP and for the challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.

My card base is the Memories And More Hand-Penned Cards and Envelopes.

Hand Penned Memories & More Cards & Envelopes

These card bases come already cut and scored complete with matching envelopes! They match with the beautiful Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper on page 131 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue.

I cut a piece of Basic White C/S to 2 3/4" x 6 1/4" and repeatedly stamped the floral image from the Elegantly Said Stamp Set using Memento Black Ink.  I then splattered this panel with Wink Of Stella for a nice sparkle! Adhere this panel to a 3" x 6 1/4" piece of Basic Black C/S. Adhere to the card front using Dimensionals.

Die cut a floral sprig and a butterfly from the Meadow Dies using Black Glitter Paper. **This Glitter paper is making a return in the July-December 2021 Mini Catalogue!!**

Attach the floral sprig to the card front using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

On a scrap piece of Basic White C/S stamp a sentiment using Memento Black Ink. Attach the sentiment to a layer of Black Glitter Paper that is just slightly larger. Attach to the card using Dimensionals. Attach the butterfly to the sentiment using a Glue Dot.

Using the ready made card bases and matching envelopes makes card making quick and easy. I hope you liked todays card!

Happy Stamping and Creating!

Happy Fall, Y'all!

Happy Fall, Y'all!

Fall is definitely upon us. It is my favourite time of year. The colours, clean smelling air and we can wear all our cute Fall fashions!!

Here is my card for this weeks challenge at Freshly made Sketches.

Freshly Made Sketches

Isn't that Squirrel just the dorkiest thing you have ever seen!! 😊

I started with a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Bumblebee Card Stock scored at 5 1/2". I cut 2 pieces of Very Vanilla C/S, one at 4" x 1 1/2" and one at 4" x 2 3/4". Emboss both pieces using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder. Attach a thin strip of Black Glitter Paper behind each of the Very Vanilla C/S layers. Glue down to the card front a strip of the Gilded Autumn DSP measuring 1 1/4" x 4". Attach the 2 Very Vanilla C/S panels to the card front using Dimensionals. Stamp the Pumpkin onto Very Vanilla C/S using Memento Black Ink and fussy cut out. I used Stampin' Blends to colour in the pumpkin. I cut a super thin strip of Mossy Meadow C/S and wrapped it around my Take A Pick Tool Paper Piercer end to curl it. Glue it behind the pumpkin. Attach pumpkin to the card front using Dimensionals. Stamp the squirrel using Soft Suede Ink, fussy cut out, attach to card front using Mini Dimensionals. Stamp a sentiment on a strip of Very Vanilla C/S using Memento Black Ink. Cut a piece of Black Glitter Paper slightly bigger and layer together. attach to card front using Dimensionals.

Hope you enjoy todays card! I'd love to hear from you, leave me a comment!

Stay safe and happy stamping and creating!

Arlene
