Azure Afternoon Happy Birthday
Have you seen the gorgeous Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! The colours in this DSP are so vibrant and the images are stunning!
At the end of todays post is a great photo of my 4 legged assistant Lola!
I have been designing so many cards lately using these beautiful papers! Here is one of them.
I also used the Darling Details Bundle to create this card. The frames and flowers are so delicate and add just the right amount of details.
Directions:Cut a piece of Azure Afternoon Card Stock to 5" x 9" and score at 5". The shorter side is the card front.
Cut a piece of Basic White C/S to 3 7/8" x 4 7/8" and a piece of the Masterfully Made DSP to 3 3/4" x 4 3/4". Layer these two pieces together and attach to the card front using Dimensionals.
Cut a piece of Basic White C/S to 2 3/4" x 4" and then die cut the smaller frame. Trim it down, I also trimmed the corners at an angle to match the frame.
Attach the frame to the card front.
Die cut 3 Basic White C/S flowers and 2 Azure Afternoon C/S flowers. Set aside one of the Basic White C/S flowers for the inside of the card. Use a few dots of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue on the flower stems and tuck them under the frame edges in opposite corners.
Cut a piece of Azure Afternoon Ribbon from the Sheer Ribbon Combo. Loop the ribbon back and forth a few times and attach using Glue Dots.
On a scrap piece of Basic White C/S, stamp the sentiment using Berry Burst Ink. Angle cut one end then attach using Dimensionals overtop of the ribbon.
Add some Adhesive Backed Sequins to the card front.
Cut a piece of Basic White C/S to 5" x 1" and die cut the decorative edge. You might have to trim it down a little. Close the card, add some tiny dots of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to the strip and line it up with the closed right edge of the card front, glueing it onto the inside of the card. * See photo below for placement.
I also trimmed down the right edge of the card after I added the Basic White C/S stip. I wanted a thin edge of the Azure Afternoon C/S showing past the decorative edge.
Attach the third Basic White C/S flower to the inside of the card using tiny dots of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. I hope you have enjoyed todays card and get a chance to create some of your own projects today!
