 Elegant Birthday Card For Freshly Made Sketches

Here is my card for the weekly challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches. Check out all the other cards HERE.

I started with a Very Vanilla Card Stock base , cut to 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2".

The strip of paper in behind is from the Kraft 6x6 Paper Pack. It measures 2" x 5 1/2" and is embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

I used the beautiful Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper as my background. It measures 3 3/4" x 5". This DSP has gorgeous foil details!

 I die cut a Very Vanilla Card Stock label using the Scalloped Contours Dies. *Sneak Peek* The floral stamp I used is from a set called "Blessings Of Home". It will be in the January-June 2022 Mini Catalogue! I stamped the flowers in Smoky Slate Ink. The sentiment from Welcoming Woods is stamped in Memento Black Ink. This stamp set has the most beautiful sentiments and fonts! 

I finished the card off with a gold bow from the Simply Elegant Trim Combo and some Champagne Rhinestones.

For todays card I used the beautiful Gilded Leafing Embellishment. It's very easy to use and adds such a rich look!

I started with a card base of Petal Pink Card Stock measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".

I cut a piece of Basic White C/S to 3" x 4" and stamped the flowers three times from Art Gallery Stamp Set in Petal Pink Ink.

Using the smallest stamp from the Art Gallery Stamp Set, stamp the petals using VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle on some Heat And Stick Powder, heat set using the Heat Tool. This only takes a moment, heat until the powder turns shiny. Using a stiff brush or your fingers add some Gilded Leafing to the flowers were the Heat And Stick Powder is. This enables the Gilded Leafing to stick to the flowers. Gently brush off excess.

Cut this stamped panel into 4 even pieces, measuring 1" x 4". Don't mix up the pieces, you want to adhere them in order.

Cut a piece of Basic Black C/S to 4 1/2" x 3 1/4". Adhere the floral 1" pieces to the black panel, leaving even spaces all around. I used Multi-purpose Glue. Emboss this panel using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder.

Wrap some Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon around the card base and tie a knot on the left hand side.

Attach the floral panel using Dimensionals.

Add 3 Champagne Rhinestones to the bottom right.

 A Touch Of Ink Hummingbird

For my first card I used a base of Calypso Coral Card Stock, cut to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". 

Using a 4 7/8" x 2 1/4" piece of Basic White C/S, stamping the hummingbird and flowers in Memento Black Ink, then stamp the inside colours using Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz Inks. Then cut this panel into 3 even pieces of 1 5/8", and attach with Multi-Purpose Glue, evenly spaced, to a 5 1/2" x 2 1/2" Basic Black C/S panel. Emboss this panel using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder. Attach a thin strip of Shimmer Paper or Foil Paper to the top and bottom of the panel. Using Dimensionals attach to the card base. Stamp sentiment using Memento Black Ink on the bottom right hand side of the card base. Add some Rhinestones to finish off the card.

This card has a base of Pool Party C/S, 4 1/4 x 11" scored at 5 1/2". Stamp the hummingbird and flowers onto a 4 1/2" x 2 1/4" piece of Basic White C/S using Memento Black Ink, Pool Party and Calypso Coral Inks. Cut into 3 equal pieces measuring 1 1/2" x 2 1/4". Attach each Basic White panel piece to an 1 5/8" x 2 3/8" Basic Black C/S piece. Emboss these 3 pieces using the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder. Splatter with Wink Of Stella and attach to the card base using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. Wrap some Pool Party Sheer Ribbon around the card base and tie into a knot or bow. On a scrap of Basic Black C/S, using VersaMark Ink, stamp the sentiment and heat embossing using White Embossing Powder. Angle cut the right side and attach to card front using Dimensionals. Add a Champagne Rhinestone to the sentiment tag.
