Big Sale And A Card!

It's that time again for Stampin' Up's Seasonal Sale!

The sale runs from Tuesday November 14th to Thursday November 16th only! So act quickly, you don't want to miss out!

10% off ribbons and trims.

15% off inks, including pads, refills, markers and Blends. (Bundles not included).

20% off papers, including card stocks, specialty papers and Designer Series Paper.

Now, onto todays card!

I used the beautiful Traditions Of St. Nick Designer Series Paper to be my focus. I simply fussy cut out one of the St. Nick image from the DSP, added a few Deckled Circle Dies and some dry embossing then I finished it up with some bling.

Directions:
Cut a card base of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".

Cut a piece of Mossy Meadow C/S to 3 3/4" x 5" and a piece of the Traditions Of St. Nick Designer Series Paper to 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". I used a piece that has musical notes on it. Glue these two pieces together and emboss using the Stars At Night Embossing Folder then attach to the card base.

Die cut one Cherry Cobbler C/S and one Very Vanilla C/S circle using the Deckled Circle Dies. The sizes I used are
2 7/16" and 2 3/4". Glue these two circles together then attach them to the card front. Splatter Wink Of Stella all over the card front.

Take some of the Gold Cord from the Simply Elegant Trim and attach it to the Very Vanilla circle in a circular pattern. I put down some Tear And Tape onto the circle and this holds the cord in place.

Fussy cut out one of the St. Nick images from the Traditions Of St. Nick DSP. Attach it over the gold cord using Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment using Cherry Cobbler Ink onto a long strip of Very Vanilla C/S. Cut apart and add to the card front using Dimensionals.

Add some Gold metallic Pearls.

For the inside:

Cut a 3 1/2" x 5" piece of Very Vanilla C/S glue a thin strip of Cherry Cobbler C/S to it and a strip of the Traditions Of St. Nick DSP. I splattered the inside with Wink Of Stella as well.

Don't forget to decorate the envelope!

Stars At Night Card

 Stars At Night Card

The Night Of Navy Card Stock, Night Of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon and Gold Adhesive Backed Star Trinkets make this card so beautiful! It is a very simple layout that can be used over and over. Change up the colours and the Designer Series Paper and every card will be so different and amazing!

Directions:

Cut a piece of Night Of Navy Card Stock to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".

Using Night Of Navy Ink, stamp the card front with the  "fireworks burst stamp".

Cut a 5 1/2" x 1 3/4" piece of the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper. I used a piece that was very light. Then cut a piece of the DSP at 5 1/2" x 1" that is darker. Attach them together then attach them to the card front.

Cut another piece of the lighter DSP to 4 1/2" x 3/8" and stamp the sentiment using Night Of Navy Ink. Flag cut one end. Set aside.

Punch or die cut out a large circle from Basic White C/S.

Using Misty Moonlight Ink, stamp the "starburst" onto the Basic White C/S circle.

Cut a piece of the Night Of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon, fold it in half and attach it behind the circle. Attach the circle to the card front using Dimensionals.

Attach the sentiment strip to the card front. *Tip: Use Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue for the portion of the strip that will attach to the circle and Mini Dimensionals for the rest.

Add some of the Adhesive Backed Star Trinkets to finish off the card front.

I didn't do it but a nice splatter of Wink Of Stella would be really pretty too!

For the inside I cut a piece of Basic White C/S to 5" x 3 3/4" and I stamped the same "starburst" using second generation Misty Moonlight Ink. *Tip: for a softer look and to utilize your stamp pads to the fullest, ink up a stamp, stamp off on scrap paper, then stamp onto your project. This gives you a lighter tone. Stamping off 1X is second generation, stamping off 2x's is third generation. Have fun playing around to see all the different looks you can achieve.

The complete supply list is below. Click on any of the photos and you will be directed to my store where you can purchase these supplies.

Celebrating 600 Freshly Made Sketches Challenges!!

Celebrating 600 Freshly Made Sketches                               Challenges!

Congratulations FMS on your 600th Sketch Challenge!

Here is my card for this special challenge. 👀 Lots of sneak peeks in this post for the new upcoming September-December 2023 Mini Catalogue!

Here is my card!

I just love how this card came together!

Directions For The Card Front:

Cut Night Of Navy Card Stock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" score at 4 1/4". This is the card base.

Cut Basic White C/S to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and attach to the Night Of Navy card base.

Cut a piece of Boho Blue C/S to 5 1/8" x 4".

Using the new "Stars At Night Stamp Set" and Night Of Navy Ink stamp some stars on the upper left and lower right bottom of the Boho C/S layer using second generation ink. **Tip, I inked up the stamp, stamped off once onto scrap paper then stamped onto the layer. This is called second generation inking. If you want an even lighter look, stamp off two times onto scrap paper for a third generation inking.

Using the edge of your Paper Snips, rough up the edges of the Boho C/S layer. Attach this layer to the card base using Dimensionals.

Cut a piece of Night Of Navy C/S to 5 3/8" x 1 1/2".

Cut a piece of One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper to 5 3/8" x 1 3/8" and attach it to the Night Of Navy C/S strip. I used the piece that has the white dots with the Night Of Navy background.

Cut 2- 6 1/2" pieces of the new "Night Of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon". Attach them to the Night Of Navy/DSP strip, using tape to adhere the ribbon to the back. Using Tear And Tape Adhesive, attach this strip to the card base.

Die cut a 2 1/2" circle using Basic White C/S and the Layering Circles Dies or a punch.

Punch out a circle using Vellum C/S and the Decorative Circle Punch.

Stamp a star using Night Of Navy Ink and the "Stars At Night Stamp Set" onto the Vellum circle. Set aside to dry. Once dry, attach the Vellum circle to the Basic White circle then using Dimensionals attach it to the card base.

Cut a 1/2" x 4 1/2" strip from a lighter piece of the One Horse Open Sleigh DSP. Stamp the sentiment using Night Of Navy Ink. Flag cut one end and attach to the card front using Tear And Tape Adhesive.

I added a Linen Thread bow and some new gold "Blooming Pearls" to finish off the card front.

Directions For The Card Inside:

Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White C/S.

Stamp some stars down the right side using the "Stars At Night Stamp Set" and Night Of Navy Ink third generation.

Cut a thin strip of the One Horse Open Sleigh DSP and attach to the bottom of the layer. Attach this layer to the inside of the card.

This card has lots of sparkle and small details.
