 Seaside Bay Sympathy Card

I made this card using the Seaside Bay Bundle from Stampin' Up! It is a quick and easy card to make.

If you didn't need a sympathy card you can easily change the sentiment. This set also has a lovely thank you sentiment. 

Directions:

Cut a 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of Thick Basic White Card Stock and score at 4 1/4".

Cut a Misty Moonlight C/S strip to 3/4" x 5 1/2" and emboss using the Basics 3D Embossing Folder. This set has 3 different embossing folders. Any one of them would be great to use!

Attach this piece to the card base on the right side.

Cut another piece of Thick Basic White C/S to 3 3/4" x 5". Using the Stampin' Up! Blending Brushes, add some Pecan Pie Ink to the bottom portion of the layer. 

*Tip- I rub the brush into the ink pad then I rub most of it off onto a piece of scrap paper, then I add the ink to the layer. I use soft circular motions. Once I feel like there is not too much ink left on the brush I push down a little bit harder. Re-ink and repeat until you are happy with the results. This way you avoid harsh lines. It's better to start light and add more ink as you go along. 

After you have finished with the sand, using the same Pecan Pie Ink, stamp the shells a few times along the bottom. **I stamped off one time for a softer look. Repeat this using the sand stamp.

Using Misty Moonlight Ink, use the same technique as above and add ink for the sky.

Stamp 2 small birds using Misty Moonlight Ink. *Tip- I only used the one little bird, (the stamp has 3) stamping it two times. 

On a scrap piece of Basic White C/S stamp the big bird in Misty Moonlight Ink. Die cut out and attach it to the layer using a few Dimensionals. 

Punch out or die cut a 2 1/4" circle from Vellum Card Stock. Using Misty Moonlight Ink, stamp the sentiment and a small bird. Set aside to dry for a few hours or use a Heat Tool to dry it. Attach it to the layer with a few teeny tiny dots of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. *Tip- after adding the glue I use my finger tip to smooth out the glue.

Add some Rhinestones to the Vellum circle.

Attach this layer to the card base using Dimensionals.

3 Panel Thinking Of You Card 

Have you tried the Vellum Layering Designs yet? They are on page 33 of the Mini Jan-June 2022 Catalogue. I've had them in my stash for awhile but hadn't used them. I think it adds such a soft look to my card. Instead of embossing the card base or using a background stamp this is a perfect alternative!

Directions:

I started with a Misty Moonlight Card Stock base, 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2".

I cut a piece of the Vellum Layering Designs to 4" x 5 1/4". Attach it to the card base. ** I put down some Stampin' Seal on the middle of the card base where I knew it would not show once the panel was attached.

Cut a piece of Basic Black C/S to 3 1/4" x 4 3/8".

Cut 3 strips of the New Horizons Designer Series Paper to 4 1/4" x 1". Tip: Don't mix up the pieces. Attach them in order.

Attach the 3 DSP strips to the Basic Black C/S panel leaving a small space in-between each piece.

Stamp 3 birds using Memento Black Ink and the Waves Of Inspiration Stamp Set. 

Wrap a piece of the Petal Pink Cotton Ribbon around this panel and tie into a knot on the right hand side.

Attach this panel to the card base using Dimensionals. 

On a scrap piece of Basic Black C/S, stamp "Thinking Of You" using VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder and heat set. I angle cut one end. Attach this to the card using Dimensionals.

Box Top Pop-Up Ladybug Fun Fold

I had so much making this cute fun fold! I got the inspiration from Susan Campfield! Check out her amazing video tutorial here: Box Top Pop-Up Thanks so much Susan!!

This project was made using the Hello Ladybug Bundle from Stampin' Up! It is a stamp set and punch bundle. I made a matching envelope as well!

Directions:

Cut a Misty Moonlight Card Stock card base to 3 3/4" x 9 3/4" and score at 5 1/4".

Cut a piece of the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper to       3 1/2" x 4 1/4" and attach to the shorter card front. 

On some Basic White C/S, stamp a ladybug body using Memento Black Ink, stamp the ladybug wings using Real Red Ink and the spots in Memento Black Ink and a leaf using Shaded Spruce Ink. Punch out the ladybug body and wings with the LadyBug Punch and fussy cut out the leaf. 

On a tiny piece of Basic White C/S stamp "hello" using Memento Black Ink. I added a sliver of Real Red C/S peeking out from one end of the sentiment strip and I flag cut the other end.

Attach the ladybug, leaf and sentiment to the card front using Dimensionals. 

Add some Red Rhinestones.

For the box top flap: 

Cut another piece of Misty Moonlight C/S to 2 1/2" x 4 1/4" and score at 1 1/4" on the long side.

Cut a coordinating piece of the Pattern Party DSP to 4" x 1". Attach it to the front section of the flap.

Attach the longer end of the card inside the flap. Only add glue to the card base top. If you add the glue to the flap piece it will glue your flap closed. The front facing flap has no glue on it. 

Attach a ribbon around the flap. The ribbon keeps the flap closed. Tuck the shorter card end up and under the flap.

Inside pop up:

Cut a piece of Basic White C/S to 3 1/2"x 9 1/4" and score at 5".

On the score line, cut down 3/4" on the 1 1/2" and 2" mark. Then score across @ 3/4". Pop up this small section. This creates the pop-out feature.

Glue this to the inside of the card using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. *Make sure you match up the center score mark on the card base and the pop-up insert before glueing. 

Die cut or cut 2 squares, circles or rectangles, what ever is your preference. Cut one in Basic White C/S and a slightly larger one in Real Red C/S. 

On the Basic White C/S square piece, stamp the ladybug in Memento Black Ink. I used a Real Red Stampin' Blend to colour in the ladybug. Attach the two squares together using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Add a bit of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to the pop-out piece and attach the ladybug squares to it. 

Isn't that a cute ladybug!!
