Thank You Card And More From Sointula

Thank You Card And More From Sointula

It seems sometimes that you need many "thank you" cards, so it's good to have them on hand.

I again reached for the beautiful Artistically Inked Stamp Set and coordinating Artistic Dies.

This card it very bright and vibrant!

Directions:

Cut Orchid Oasis Card Stock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" score at 4 1/4" for the card base.

Cut Daffodil Delight C/S to 4" x 5 1/4" and attach to the card base using Dimensionals.

Cut a piece of Basic White C/S to 3 3/4" x 5".

Stamp the flower repeatedly in Misty Moonlight Ink and the flower centers in Daffodil Delight Ink. Add some Daffodil Delight dots as well to fill in the white spaces.

I also flicked a bit of water onto this layer for some interest. Let it dry completely.

Cut this layer into 3 sections of 1 5/8" ish, just a smidge over 1 5/8".

Attach the 3 sections to the Daffodil Delight C/S layer using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue leaving a even space in between each section.

On the center section, on the right side, add some Black Bakers Twine loops. I used some Stampin' Seal to anchor it down in place.

For the sentiment I cut 2 pieces of Basic White C/S to 1/2" x 2 3/4". Put both pieces tight together on your work surface and stamp the sentiment using Memento Black Ink. I really like the look of it!

Attach the sentiments using Dimensionals.

Die cut a Gold Foil leaf sprig from the Artistic Dies. Cut apart and add some glue and tuck a few of the leaves under the sentiment.

Punch out some Basic White C/S leaves using the Bough Punch. Add under the sentiment also.

Finish it up with some 2023-2025 In-Color Dots.

Here are some more photos from beautiful Sointula B.C.

I wonder what kind of plant this is??

This is the small B.C. Ferry that we take to get on and off Malcolm Island where Sointula is.

There are lots of adorable deer wandering around. Or lazing around!

The small B.C. Ferry to Sointula and the very large Disney Cruise Ship in the background.

Did you know that beach combing is good for the SOUL? There isn't very much trash that washes ashore here, but when it does it is very interesting!

A view of the Sointula Marina and the calmness of Rough Bay.

I wonder how old this tree was before it came down. I love all the new life that takes over.

For sale....Ocean view, open concept living, very airy, lots of natural light, multiple skylights, large front door......

GOATS!!!! I just love this town!!!

More of my beach treasures!!! The blues are a rare find!

See the card I made here using some of the beach/sea glass that I found.

Happy Stamping and Creating!!

  1. Beautiful card Arlene. I sure had to giggle at your measurements with 1 5/8ish and a smidge over 1 5/8 (that’s probably equivalent to my ‘doot’ measurements….lol, a carpenter would roll his eyes…..lol

I Belly laughed at the property for sale and your write up. I only wish the Real Estate agent could see it….lol

  2. Hi Sue, I do believe that a smidge and a doot are the same measurement! LOL!! I had so much fun writing the description for the boat shed! Thank you for your kind comment!!
