Happy Monday! I haven't joined a Freshly Made Sketches challenge in a long time! It's a great way for me to get my mojo happening!

Directions:

I started with an Orchid Oasis Card Stock base cut to 5 1/2 x 

8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.

I die cut a Basic White C/S Scalloped Contours Die then I stamped the floral sprig from the Honeybee Home Stamp Set using Flirty Flamingo Ink. I embossed this layer using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. Attach it to the card front.

Cut a 3/4" X 3' piece of Orchid Oasis C/S and a 1" X 3" piece of the 2022-2024 In-Color Designer Series Paper. Flag cut one end of each. Layer to the card front.

Tie a bow using the Orchid Oasis Metallic Ribbon, attach under where the Basic White circle will be.

Punch or die cut a 1 1/2" Basic White Circle. Using Starry Sky Ink, stamp a bumblebee. Attach over the ribbon using Dimensionals.

Splatter on lots of Wink Of Stella.

This is a great layout for many cards. Simply change up the Card Stocks, Designer Series Papers, ribbons etc and each card would look so different. 

We have some adorable bumblebees that have taken up residence in our Chickadee bird house. They are quite messy but we are so happy to have them.

New Post, Best Wishes Card

Best Wishes Card

I was playing around again with the Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative Masks and designed this card. It is very similar to this card I made in January.

I used the Butterflies And Flowers Layering Decorative Masks from Stampin' Up! 

Details: 

Create textured and coloured backgrounds with Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks. These stencils are an easy way to blend colours on your cards and other paper crafting projects. You can use the background masks on their own. But your images will really pop when you layer the detailed masks over the backgrounds to get even more depth and dimension. Use with Classic Stampin' Ink and colouring tools such as Blending Brushes and Sponge Daubers for beautiful colour. You can also use them with Embossing Paste and Palette Knives for textured designs.

Directions:

I started with a card base of Bermuda Bay Card Stock cut to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".

Cut a piece of Very Vanilla C/S to 4" x 5 1/4".

Using the floral mask and Blending Brushes, I added Coastal Cabana Ink to the Very Vanilla C/S panel. *Tip: use some removable tape to hold the mask and card stock in place. Gently lift the mask without shifting it to check on your progress. Once I was happy with how much colour was down on the card stock, I moved the mask to the detailed portion of the same floral image and added the Bermuda Bay Ink.  

Emboss this panel using the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing. Folder.

Cut a piece of the White Frayed Ribbon and attach it using tape on the back side of the panel. Attach this panel to the card base using Dimensionals. 

Tie a Gold Cord bow to the Frayed Ribbon.

Stamp a sentiment using Memento Black Ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla C/S. Add a slightly larger piece of Coastal Cabana C/S behind the sentiment and attach it to the card front using Dimensionals. I attached mine at an angle and I really like how it looks. The sentiments in the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set are gorgeous! 

I love the font and the selection!

Splatter some Wink Of Stella over the flowers.

For the inside I added a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Very Vanilla C/S. I die cut the bottom using a Blossoming Happiness Border Die. Then I stamped a greeting in Coastal Cabana Ink.

A simple but elegant card.

New Post, Pretty Prints Fern Card

Pretty Prints Fern Card 

Todays card uses some fun new products from the 2022-2023 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue.

The Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper is stunning! Lots of vibrant colours. Today I decided to go with the Evening Evergreen piece for this card that could be for any nature lover.

I cut a piece of Basic White Card Stock to 4" x 8" and scored it in half at 4" for my card base.

Cut the following:

Basic Black C/S 3 7/8" x 3 7/8"

Soft Succulent C/S 3 3/4' x 3 3/4"

Pretty Prints DSP 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"

Attach all 3 pieces together using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Emboss them using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder then attach them to the card front.

 I stamped the floral sprig from Nature Prints Stamp Set onto Basic White Card Stock using Evening Evergreen Ink, I die cut it out and I also die cut the same image in Basic Black C/S and glued them together slightly off-set. I like the way it creates a silhouette. Glue the sprigs to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment using Memento Black Ink then added a Basic Black C/S strip behind it with the ends flag cut. Then I added some Linen Thread behind the sentiment. Attach the sentiment using Dimensionals.

Add 3 Matte Black Dots to finish off the card.
