Canada Inks Up! Blog Hop

Welcome to another Blog Hop with Canada Inks Up! Please be sure to check out all the participants and leave comments! We love to hear from you 😊

For todays Blog Hop we were to use punches. I decided to use the Pine Tree Punch and the Everyday Label Punch. I designed 3 cards, two are simple, and one is glitzy! All three cards use the same card base of Early Espresso Card Stock and a layer of Crumb Cake Card Stock.

This card is very simple. Great for a new stamper!

The card base is Early Espresso Card Stock cut to 4 1/4" x 11" and score at at 5 1/2". I cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock and I stamped the greeting from the "Perfectly Plaid" Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink, then I attached it to the card base. I cut another piece of Early Espresso C/S to 1 1/2" x 3 1/2", flag cut one end and attach it to the card. Tie a double Linen Thread bow and attach it to the flag at the top using a Glue Dot. Stamp a tree in Shaded Spruce Ink onto Very Vanilla C/S and punch out using the Pine Tree Punch. Attach it to the flag with Dimensionals.

This card base is also Early Espresso C/S, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". Cut a piece of Crumb Cake C/S to 4" x 5 1/4" and emboss it using the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder, then attach it to the card base. On a 4" x 2" piece of Very Vanilla C/S, stamp three trees using Shaded Spruce Ink and Early espresso Ink for the trunks. On a scrap of Very Vanilla C/S, stamp another tree and punch it out using the Pine Tree Punch. Attach the punched out tree on top of the middle tree using Dimensionals. Cut 2 thin strips 4" long of the Brushed Metallic C/S and glue behind this panel, then attach it to the card front using Dimensionals. Stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso Ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla C/S, angle cut one end, attach using Dimensionals. Attach a double Linen Thread bow using a Glue Dot. Stamp a pinecone in Early Espresso Ink onto Very Vanilla C/S then cut it out, add some Wink Of Stella all over it and attach it to the bow using a Mini Dimensional.

My last card is very elegant with lots of glitz!

This card is still a very simple design layout but with lots of elegance and sparkle!
I started with an Early Espresso C/S base of 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2". Cut a layer of Crumb Cake C/S to 3" x 5 1/4" and emboss it using the Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder. Cut a thin 5 1/4" long strip of the Gold Metallic Specialty Paper and glue in behind the Crumb Cake panel then attach it to the card front onto the left side using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. If you have not had a chance to see the Gold and Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper you are missing out! It is stunning paper!!
Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of Very Vanilla C/S using VersaMark Ink, sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set. Punch out the sentiment using the Everyday Label Punch. Also punch out a Gold label using the Gold and Rose Gold Specialty Paper. Cut the gold label in half length wise and attach in behind the Very Vanilla C/S label using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue, just so you see a tiny bit of the gold paper around the edges. Cut off the raw edge of a 8" piece of the Gold Shimmer Ribbon then gently pull off some of the threads. Attach them behind the label using Glue Dots or Stampin Seal, then attach the label to the card front using Dimensionals. Gently run your finger nail through the gold threads to curl them.

I wanted to make a "puffy" tree. I punched out two gold trees using the Pine Tree Punch and the Gold and Rose Gold Specialty Paper. I added one Dimensional to the center of the tree and then I added some Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to all the branches and the trunk and then I placed the other tree on top, right sides out for both trees. I used a few mini clips to hold it in place until it dried. Once dry, I attached the tree to the card using a few Dimensionals. I tried adding two Dimensionals but it wouldn't hold together, too much puff!

I hope I have inspired you today! Be sure to check out all the other Blogs!

Happy Stamping and Creating!
